It is a possibility that NC Belle and I may be relocating to the West Palm Beach, FL area.

We are looking for a peaceful, low crime neighborhood with affordable homes within an hour's drive of West Palm Beach. The closer to Disney the better. :)

Any suggestions will be tremendously appreciated.

Thanks,

The only thing I know about this area is that have difficulty reading a butterfly ballet and like to leave hanging chads!
At least it'll bump it up for ya!

I thought about this year's presidential election as well? How funny you should mention it?

Have you lived there a while or still exploring?

Just bumping this up. We are in need of prayers and pixie dust for employment---NC Beast's job was part of a contract that is ending and I need a part-time job at least (I was laid off a couple of years ago--long story) and a good move if we have to move. I don't mind moving close to Disney ;) or to the greater W. Palm Beach area. We loved going around Sawgrass Mall, Ft. Lauderdale, and Pompano Beach. We have a 50 lb. puppy, Jessie, so even a small place with a yard for her would be nice. We currently have one car so public transportation comments/ideas are also appreciated. Thanks in advance.

NC Belle---wishing for a home in FL

Sent a pm. Would suggest north of FT lauderdale.

We almost moved to this area very recently. (Dh just didn't come to terms with the contract offer). Anyway, we were looking in Wellington. You didn't mention if you have kids, but we were looking there because of the good school district. Wellington and Coral Springs are the best for schools, but Coral Springs is very expensive. Also, some neighborhoods have pet restrictions, like not over 20lbs, so keep an eye on that. Good luck!

My sister's family just moved from Pittsburgh to Wellington(WPB) 3 weeks ago because of her job. Just PM me if you want more info.;)

I was born and raised in the Pompano Beach area ( Coconut Creek ) ...I would say that you should look in Martin County..it is about 20 minutes North or WPB and it has one of the best school districts in the state.
You didn't say ( and I don't blame you ) what $$ house you are looking for..WPB has all dollar ranges..West West Palm ( Wellington) can be expensive..Jupiter is nice and has acre properties...DO NOT GO TO BOYNTON BEACH...this is where we currently live while we wait for a house to be built and it is VERY old...I love my DD (5) school but EVERYONE in the area is over 70!!!

LOL..PM me if you need any help..Like I said, I have lived in this area my entire life and have house hunted in just about every area of WPB

(PS..I would stay out of Broward...it is getting very congested!!)

We've had a home in Wellington for the last 20 years. It is a beautiful area that really has come to life within the last 5-10 yrs. (That is if you like malls and such :smooth: ) My parents live there a few months out of the year. I don't know anything about the school systems, but wanted to throw out another positive mention about the town.
