advice re: 2 day ticket with/without hopper

Taking my mom. We already have our tickets (multiday with hopper/no exp), so issue is her ticket. I called to add hers to our room, and was told no discount for advance so opted to wait to purchase while we're there.

IF we should find we want to go to another park one evening, can we then add the hopper portion for the flat $35 at that park? And can we just purchase the ticket initially at the resort when we check in the first evening? And will that cost be the same as quoted on the WDW website right now?

Yes you may purchase the ticket when you arrive and hold off on buying the hopping option until you decide to park-hop and arrive at the second theme park. The price is the regular price (not an advance purchase price) quoted on Disney's web site and reproduced on various other web sites.
