Im not sure if Im in the right forum, but I need aome advice please. I want to do a digital scrapbooking page taken from a shot from the film brother bear. So, I want to isolate a scene from the film, take it as a still and then take it into Photoshop (CS2) and superimpose my son into it.

Ive tried to find the still I want (which is the bears walking over the river on a log singing) to make it easier, but I cant find.

Any thoughts or help would be gratefully welcomed.

Thanks

There are various programs out there that will capture a screen shot of whatever you have on your computer. So if you had the dvd and played it on the computer, you should be able to get it.

But the photo quality may not be what you expected. The video resolution required for tv playback is much lower than you get out of even a cheap digital camera.

One method is to open the DVD in an editing program such as Premiere Elements, select the frame, and export it as a jpg. Most DVD frames are 720 x 480, not really enough for a good scrapbook page but it may be all that is available.

A copy-protected DVD such as Brother Bear may not open in the editing program.
