Any suggestions are welcome. We are leaving on Sunday June 12 will be at Disney for 7 days. WE have 4 day premium tickets, already bought. We have 2 girls ages 6 and 11 and just want to make sure they see the "big things" especially for girls (we have a lunch with princesses already booked).
Anyway, just want to get expert advice on the trip and any special must sees ( I know there are many) This is the first time for everyone except me, I went as a 9 year old. Thanks for any advice

my best advice is get there at park openings and take advantage of early emh. you will get all the big rides done in the first couple of hours. then either watch shows or parades or hop to other parks once the emh park fills up. if you get there early, that is the one most important strategy there is.

I agree kirbsam!! Also with younger ones it is really important to take a small break from the park and go tback to hotel for any hour or two during or after lunch for a quick nap or just to relax) i know this seems as if this is a loss in time but trust me it is not and this is why: The parks are hot, crowded the kids and big kids get cranky and tired and then even if you cram in everything you really didn't enjoy anything at all! :sad2:

Now that doesn't mean you shouldn't have a plan or itenerary...take a look @ www.tourguidemike.com or the unofficial guide for ideas. If you make a list of what you want to see, use fastpasses and emh (if you are staying on property) there is no doubt you will see the main attractions AND enjoy them!

Taking a mid-day break is a must! A couple hours back in the room or at the pool works wonders. Of course if your DD's are like mine, then they may never want to leave the pool! But that's for another discussion...

Thanks so far! We have been on a few short vacations and I have already considered taking a nap/rest break in the pm. We are staying at the Orange Lake resort, and it seems real nice from the website, plenty of pools to cool off in! Are there any real must sees/do's that girls can't miss? I want them to see all the girl stuff they can! Of course dad will make sure they see the other stuff, LOL! Thanks again for the advice!
Also, any advice on a close beach? We want to visit one, but not sure which is the closest/best to see!

We're staying at Orange Lake in Dec. I hear from friends is awesome. Let me know when you get back...

Hi. I have two girls too. I would recommend the Beauty and the Beast show in MGM. My girls liked that a lot. My youngest is an Ariel fan so we saw the Ariel show in MGM too. It's very short. The princess lunch they will love - we did the princess breakfast. We did the 1900 Park Fare Dinner with Cinderella and friends in the Grand Floridian - that was great for my other daughter who loves Cinderella. This year we are having breakfast in the castle...we are very excited about that. Have a great trip! :flower:

Thanks so much for the advice. I did try out tour guide mike, seems there is a lot of planning involved. We might not get to return to Disney, so I hope we get everything in that we want to do!

Hi! Just got back from second trip with DD's 9 and 11...just want to warn you that we took the "one-time trip of a life-time to WDW" with them two years ago :teeth: )

Anyway, they'll love the princess meal for sure. Definitely watch Spectro and Wishes at MK one night - they'll love it and for my DD's seeing Tinkerbelle fly is very special. Older DD is a big Belle fan and so I agree with the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM...there is also a story time with Belle at MK several times each afternoon (check schedule). Cinderellabration performs in front of the castle each day several times too, but we never managed to stop and see it - the girls big complaint even now.

Otherwise, I'd let the girls read the WDW for Kids by Kids book by Birnbaum and let you know what really interests them so you know what is most important. My older DD was into the thrill rides this time, while younger DD only made it onto SM, BTMR, and Splash....we took the chicken elevator down from TOT!! The girls absolutely love almost everything but Stitch - couldn't wait to try it and thought it was awful when they did.

Have a great time - I know your girls will be thrilled beyond belief when they walk under the train station and enter MK...have that camera ready! :flower:

My two DD's were your kids age last year when we went. This was their first year pin collecting/trading. They absolutely loved it. They decided to focus on princess pins. They can't wait to go back this year to add to their collection. A lot of the stores that sell jewelery have charm bracelets. They each made a princess charm bracelet that wasn't too expensive. They had fun looking through all the stores for the perfect charm. As many have said, the Beauty and the Beast show is wonderful. Ariel too. I'm sure they will have a wonderful time. :flower:
