I have the opportunity to purchase a sit and stand stroller at a really good price. I have a five year old and a two and a half year old. My son is about 40lbs..is that too heavy to use this kind of stroller? I'm looking to use it for occassional use and we will be going to Disney (hopefully) next May. It would just be nice to have somewhere for him to rest if he needed it. I'm just not sure that it's worth any money or not. Is it hard to steer with a child in the stand/sit area? Is this kind of stroller bulky?

Thanks for any advice!!:goodvibes

We have the Fisher Price Sit and Stand and love it. My DD5 is about 45lbs and has never liked to sit in a stoller so this is perfect. She can hop on or off as she pleases. Never found it hard to steer and though it is a bit longer and heavier than a regular stroller, it was much better than the double that I had.

I love ours fo rthe convience. It is kind of heavy, but great for my DD5.5 to get on and off of by herself. She is 53lbs today, and we have had no trouble with her weight even though she is above the limit.

As a side note, if you only need it in Disney, check out the link in my siggy - free sit-n-stand stroller swap!

Thanks for the advice..the one for sale is the Baby trend sit and stand..someone is selling it for 45.00...besides disney, I'm thinking that it would be nice for daily routine...I see in a lot of reviews that it's bulky and long...any thoughts??

I have an almost 4 year old who weighs 38lbs, an almost 8 year odl who weighs 47lbs and the Joovy Caboose Sit-n-stand stroller. We plan on taking it to Disney once again this year. We've had it for the past almost 4 years and love it to pieces!!!!

I have 6 strollers (used to be 7 until I donated the jogger) - all with a purpose. I, too, got a good deal on a sit and stand. While I think it is OK for the mall I would not take it to WDW. I think it is a little hard to steer, especially with more weight. I use a double umbrella for the parks.

We use a baby trend sit and stand. We love it. It has been to WDW 2X and will go a third this september. It folds to the same size as my Graco travel system stoller. My oldest is 6 soon to be 7 and I can still push her on it. This will probably be the sit and stands last trip with us to WDW but it has served us very well. Now my baby likes to hop on and off the back. I would love to find a single stroller with this type of design.

Has anyone had problem with the child in the front? :confused3 We looked at one this week end but the back of the seat seemed short. They don't look tall enough for my 3 1/2 to lay her head on if she falls asleep.

I bought a baby trend sit n stand for our Disney trip last year. It was for my then 17 month old dd and 6 year old ds(about 55 lbs.) It worked great. It is a little heavier than a regular full size stroller for the buses ect., but it worked fine for me and was so nice to have somewhere for DS to sit when he needed a break and especially at night when it was dark and crowded. I could just put him in there and then I knew I "had everything." Very nice peace of mind, and he somehow found a way to sleep in it one night when we had a horribly long wait for the bus. I'll be bringing it one last time for our trip a a couple of weeks.

We have one and love it. We don't use it often at home, as our daughter is old enough to walk places. But for Disney it is perfect. I bought a side by side umbrella double at a consignment for $10. It is so much lighter and folds flat, but my hubby said he wants to take the sit n stand:confused3

Joovy: Big Caboose, took it last year and it works great. Just had another baby and have upgraded to the Big Caboose (two seats and a stand that can be used as a seat.
