Advice on dining at Caribbean Beach-Shutters?

Well, when we stayed at CBR it was 3 years ago. We had the DDP. Loved it. But quite honestly, we had our least favorite meal at Shutters. Maybe things have changed in 3 years. But our meal was rather plain and the menu choices were poor. If you go on to allears.net you can bring up their menu so you can see what they have to offer. We actually had better meals in the food court.

We loved our stay at CBR. Loved the whole tropical feel. Stayed in Martinique - great location. Close to Port Royale and first pickup on the bus route. They did have a great theme pool but now it's under construction. I know other postings on this site had updates.

Hope you enjoy your vacation.:wizard:

We went in 2006 while we were staying there. The meal was okay. I think I liked the Coconut Shrimp appetizers best.:goodvibes The kids had an interesting ice cream dessert. It was called a sandcastle. It had ice cream covered in cinnamon and sugar (I think) in a bowl of solid blue jello with little gummie sharks in the water (jello). DD and DS thought it was very neat!

Just had it in December...IT WAS AWFUL..worse then awful...The Prime rib was a piece of fat with a thin strip of raw flavorless meat around it.i didn't like it before it was Shutters , but I gave it a second chance...next time I will just eat at the food court.:goodvibes

We ate there twice when we were at CBR in September/October.

It wasn't the best meal we had, but it was decent... it was worth eating at once

We ate there 2 years ago. From what I remember the food there was not bad at all. I think it's worth a try.

I stayed there 2 years ago. We had the dining plan, and I think it was the least remarkable meal during my whole stay. Very plain. Nothing to get excited about. Could be better now, though, I don't know.

Personally, I would save the money and eat at the food court. You have to walk through the food court to get to Shutters anyway. If you're staying there, and you like a table service meal, it's okay, but I'd go somewhere else for a table service meal unless it's really inconvenient to do so.

I completely 2nd that. We ate there our last night, and we all visited the rest room several times at the airport before we boarded our plane. I recommend skipping it and eating the CS.
