I have brought some crocs to wear at disney this year and I have just read that someone had worn cros at disney and after a few days they had got blisters. Have anyone had the same experiance?

When we went last year almost EVERYONE was wearing crocs. I have never had any problems but I usually put a plaster on my daughters foot when she wears hers, prevention is better than cure!

I wear my crocs to work being on my feet all day and they are excellent. No problems at all. I do have to wear trainer socks underneath otherwise my feet swet and get sore. Other than that they are great.

I bought croc cleos last week and wore them around the theme parks, the only problem i had is that i got a little blister on my little toe that eventually turned into a humungous blister!! I should of popped it when it was small..
other than that no problems at all and they are so comfy 2 continuous days around the parks and my feet were fine!

We bought 3 pairs this year at Universal, DD DW and myself, i wore mine the whole 3 weeks i was where there, and DD and DW wore theres most of the time, and never had any problems

Zoinks, I went last year and must have seen about half a dozen at most. I did go to Church Stretton this week for a few days, and noticed a number of the "blue rinse" brigade wearing them.

So let me understand this.....you put on a plaster because you think you will get blisters.

You wear socks with yours because your feet get sore.

....and you actually do get blisters!:scared1:

I think I'll stick to my trainers. Never had a problem with those.:thumbsup2

I've never had any rubs or blisters with mine, even trekking around India for 7 days.

My OH gets one part on his foot that gets a little sore so he puts a drop of baby oil on the area and it never rubs or blisters.

That is the best thing I have found for anything that rubs... :)

I've been wearing them since 2004 and never had a single blister!

You have been wearing the same pair of crocs for three years??? You don't even take them off to shower or sleep???

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yo the OP: Like any new shoes - break them in GENTLY (first around the house, then on short trips out). If you take any new shoes (no matter what they are) for their first outting on a 10 hour hike around a theme park, you are likely to get blisters... :rolleyes1

Richard, don't mock things that you have never tried :rotfl: go on give them a go i think you'll be impressed.I had my doubts but after finding a pair that didnt look like special shoes- i wore them all the time !:thumbsup2

Netty,

I wasn't really mocking (extracting the urine a little I admit), but these statements were experiences of people who have tried them and suffered from them. Even if they were the most stylish footwear on the planet, I still wouldn't wear them as they are shoes that lend themselves to barefoot wear. I've never been able to wear any shoes without socks on because my feet get sore in them (you'll never see me wear a pair of sandles).

The Church Stretton "blue rinse" statement was also true. There were a number of elderly ladies wearing them but nobody else. Everybody else were wearing sensible walking shoes/boots (Church Stretton being walking country).

mine rub on the top of my feet, I've since been told it's 'cos I've got a high instep (can't remember ever having shoes do that before tho'). If I wear socks then they're fine. Also I did find without socks they made my feet sweaty and a wee bit stinky. For me personally, they weren't the 'dream' shoes I was expecting.

i've always thought i'm the only person on the planet who hates crocs...
except my daughter who also hates them...
my son loves them though, so it can't be a genetic thing...

i never wear the pair i own....not even to the beach....they are sooooooooo uncomfortable for me.....i can't stand that plastic feel they have and the bottom is so squishy it's unbearable to me...

i live in birkenstocks year round (the model with no backstrap), including at WDW....i can't wear anything else...

my daughter's experience in crocs was actually worse than mine...
she initially loved them and wore them constantly for a few days, at the end of which she had terrible foot pain...(she was 21 years old at the time).
She went to see an orthopedic doctor who gave her a piece of his mind for wearing crocs for extended periods of time..
he told her that crocs were ok for short times - going to the beach, etc. but not for all day wear....that they did not provide sufficient foot support...
he told her to stick with her "Source" sandals and to chuck the crocs...
so she hasn't worn them at all since...

on the other hand, my son loves his....when he's not working (when he has to wear his military boots), he's in his crocs - including when he goes on all day hikes (easy hikes that don't require his hiking boots)..

so clearly each person is different...

Thanks for this tip as i have the same problem was wondering what to use.

I have only been wearing crocs for a short time and have had no problems, I love them  . Dh has a few pairs and he has had no problems either :)

I wear Crocs all the time and I've never had any sort of problem :thumbsup2 I'm a nurse so sometimes I'm on my feet 12 hours a day I wear my Crocs and my feet are always comfortable unlike some of my friends who have sore feet by the end of the day! :goodvibes
