I am naive and had no idea the impact the DDP would make on ADR's. I cannot get half of what I want for the nights ,nevertheless the day I want it!

Do ADR's get cancelled? How often? Should I call weekly? daily? twice a day?to see if I can get anything better? Will things free up the week we are there? Wait until we get there and see if I can switch things around?

We are going the week of Sept. 22-Oct. 1...

Any and all advice appreciated!!

TIA!!!

Don't give up. Things open up all the time. I still need to cancel all the ADRs I made for the week of Aug. 13-19 because we recently canceled our trip. I've got a dinner ADR made for each night of the trip (all between 6 pm.-7:10 pm) at great places like Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, WCC, & Primetime.

I would try calling once everyday & see what opens up. Good luck & don't despair!!

DON'T GIVE UP!!!Keep calling every day even once you arrive! When we were down in January I called to see if by some chance there were any openings for breakfast at CRT( KNOWING THAT CHANCES WERE SLIM)but to my suprise I was told there was and I had my choice of times!! People make ressies in advance and then at the last minute cancel ... so keep on trying!!

Just keep calling. There is no magic to whether you should call each day, each hour, or whatever. Ressies get cancelled all the time. We saw people in line for attractions calling and changing ADRs for that day.

After check in, you can ask the concierge desk (formerly Guest Services) to try for you.

My best example is that we were told that there was no availability at LeCellier for the remaining 3 days of our trip. We enjoyed an afternoon in the pool, and I called back 4 hours later. THere had been a cancellation, and we were able to get in for that night! DD was delighted...so I cancelled my Spoodles and picked up the LeCellier. Granted, that opened Spoodles to someone with only 4 1/2 hours notice....but hopefully someone was able to use that slot.

Thanks! I was so bummed when I had to make alternative reservations for so many nights! I will try every day now!
