I got up this morning, and I have a cold, not a bad one so I thought. I was coughing alot this morning so I took some Sugar Free Diabetic cough syrup. The cough got better. Then as the morning went on, I started to get the chills and feel terrible, musle ache, etc. NO headache. I finished my cleaning, then I went up took a nice hot bath and put on some comfy PJ's. My neck on the one side is very sore, even to touch. I have a swollen gland. Could this be the start of a very bad cold? I am upset, because if they call me with a Pancreas and I have a cold or infection they will not transplant me. I understand why. I would like any advice to knock this out of me very fast. :(

I also have a sore throat, it hurts to swallow.

SOunds like a virus of some sort to me :( Sorry you are feeling bad. Hope you get better soon!
Tylenol for fever/aches. Lots of fluids. Chicken soup :)
Virus have to run its course. NOthing you can do except treat the sypmtoms.

You have some of the symptoms of strep throat, which is an infection and should be treated with antibiotics. I'd call the doctor if it was me.

When I had swollen glands , it hurt so much I had to see a surgeon who said it was "Cat scratch fever" and I had surgery to remove the glands in my neck.:(

Chicken soup and ice cream always make me feel better when my throat hurts, but you should definately go to the doctor if you still feel sick tomorrow.
