My DD and I (DVC and AP holders) are visiting with my friend and her DD mid-June. We had a hard time adding her DD's ticket to MDE and as a result could only get 3 park reservations to MK. I know the reservations are non-transferable technically, but I would be willing to give up mine for friend's DD who has never been to Disney before. Should we even bother asking at Guest Services, or is this hopeless? Do they ever release additional spots? I don't want to wait and have her locked out of all parks. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

Lee trying. It’s rare that something doesn’t pop up, even day of but it will take a lot of diligence on your part.

I have never heard of GS transferring a reservation from one person to another.

When I was at AK a few weeks ago , I was behind a father and son in guest services who bought park tickets flew to Orlando and found out they did not make park reservations. The dad was so upset cause the calander was had no availability for any park the whole week. They left with all 4 park reservations.. I really think it will not be an issue. Go to a Ticket office as soon as you get in town and/ or make a phone call I bet they will help you.

Thank you both. I just tried again a minute ago and voila - all good now! I'm so glad to not have to worry about this anymore! It's interesting because before I added my friend the availability calendar showed none, but I was able to get her a reservation for MK. And now it happened again with friend's DD. I wonder if they hold some back for people who are traveling together?

Nope. They do not. I was not able to get the parks I wanted for DD and DGD last December even though DH and I had them.

They do however have people change trips all the time so openings come up
