Ok, here is my dilema. We are thinking of renting a condo at Windsor hills next summer. We've cheked out the rates of one condo on vacation central that we are interested in. The price was ok but a bite high for what we budgeted. I checked on VRBO and saw the same condo for rent but at a much lower price... Is this a scam of some sort???
We've always rented through vacation central and really enjoyed and trust their services... I'm kind of concerned of being windled if I want to go with the lower price in VRBO.
Any advice ????

You won't know the price until you ask for a quote on vrbo. I've requested quotes for homes I thought were in my price range only to find out that prices had changed and the quote came in higher. Sometimes the listings haven't been updated and they reserve the right to change their price.

Prices change a lot seasonally, so the "list" price may be different from what you are quoted. I have rented direct a couple of times, and I choose someone with a lot of good reviews. Not foolproof, but it seems to be a good practice. Some people find out who the owners use as a management co and check them out too. Good luck!

ETA, there's no reason not to contact several owners and enquire...often this will help you judge what's a fair price. (I rarely pick the lowest OR highest, but somewhere in between. ) HTH.
