We are experienced Disney cruisers. We've been sailing since 2001 and about to take our 15th cruise. Our kid has grown up on DCL. Since covid we haven't sailed since 2019, and kid is now 14 years old, 6'2 and 210 lbs. (was 11 last cruise and like 5'2 110 lbs lol...) I am concerned how they will "fit now" on the sofa bed. I believe the pull down bed is out of the question which has always been their favorite sleeping spot. Is there an option to ask for an additional mattress to cover the ends of the sofa bed for the feet? (since they are wood) Or has any large adult sized person sleep a week on that sofa bed comfortably? We sail in August. Thank you in advance!:worship:

The mattress in the sofa bed fits down between the arms of the sofa. I'm not sure how you plan to "cover the ends of the sofa".

Thank you for the reply! I can see the foot end having their feet on or over the edge where the wood is. I thought about asking for extra pillows to place over the wood part but was curious if anyone else experienced this and disney had a solution other than possibly the extra pillows. We will find out for sure in August. Also trying to keep kid out of my bed... LOL. 😂

I'll just point out that all the beds in the rooms are standard sized twin or queen beds. If that helps.

I believe I read the weight restriction on the top bunk was 220lbs (because I mentally calculated if I could go lie down up there with my 6yo)

We had 3 adults and a toddler in a Verandah room & the 'bottom bunk' sofa was fine (much more comfortable than any other sofa/bunk beds we have experienced)
