ok. im sure there are hundreds of threads that cover these topics, but im having a hard time fitting all this research into nap time ;) you all have already been so incredibly helpful, i hope im not being annoying with all my questions. oh, and if it matters, we are staying at the WL for 5 nights in may, and i am traveling alone with my daughter so i dont have any help available.

ok, first issue: food allergies
my daughter (will be 15 months when we travel) has allergies to eggs and dairy. she can only drink soy or rice milk. she cant have any dairy or eggs at all. will i be able to find food for her at the restaurants? will i be able to bring food and drinks in to the parks for her? should i buy soy or rice milk ahead of time and keep it in the room or will i be able to buy it at the hotels and parks? i would assume that if i bring the emergency allergy form from the dr they will have to let me bring food in for her, right? she is kinda picky and i am really paranoid about what she can eat.

next issue: groceries
i thought i read about a service that delivers groceries (diapers, wipes, food) to your room so you dont have to bring all that stuff with you or pay hotel prices. i cant remember the name or how it works. can anyone help? is it worth the cost? what should i bring and what should i order?

next issue: water
i am pregnant with baby #2. even when NOT pg, i drink water almost exclusively. will i have to buy bottled water or is there free drinking water available? if i bring a refillable water container (nalgene, etc) will i be able to use that or do i have to buy a disney bottle in order to get refills? (not opposed to doing that, just wondering if they allow outside containers) what about at the hotel? is there drinking water in the rooms or should i bring a brita filter for the faucet? i know i sound so stuck up about it, but im not used to just drinking tap water without a filter and im paranoid about hurting my baby. silly, i know.

last issue: random
i asked for a crib in the room, anyone know about the cribs in the WL? are they pack n plays or cribs? are they safe? i also asked for a fridge, so i can keep some milk. i figure i will have to have some in the room. does the fridge have a small freexer compartment so i can keep ice packs for taking milk on the go?

ok sorry for all the questions. i am so glad this board is here though or i would be freaking out about all these issues!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there! Welcome to the DIS Boards - you are right - there is SO much information here. I can anser a couple of your questions, and I'm sure you will find lots of people with answers to all of them.

I have a nut allergy - not as difficult to work with (IMO) as your daughters. But what I did was have the CM note the allergy in the PS reservation. I have heard others mention that they have been able to talk with the chefs at the various restaurants, and that if they have advance notice they can make special meals for the allergic person. One person even posted on the food picture thread a picture of a dairy and gluten free brownie that was made for their child. So all of this is to say that Disney tries very hard to work with people on allergy issues. Some people say that this is much easier to accomplish by planning all sit-down meals rather than trying to do counter service.

RE: The water - we are big water drinkers also. Water in WDW/orlando has a higher mineral (I think it's sulphur) content than many people are used to. Some people have reported stomach upset from it. We carry a brita sport bottle that filters the water as you drink it. That is what we use for ourselves. For our DD on our upcoming trip, we are driving and plan to take bottled Ozarka water with us, since babies are so sensitive to changes in water. You might want to buy some bottled water that you are comfortable using for your little one.

RE: buying groceries, many people have posted about wegoshop - I believe they will shop for you and deliver to the hotel.

HTH - have a great trip!

I would definitely bring or plan on buying bottle water. I personally think that Florida drinking water smells and tastes horrible due to the sulfur. It even grossed me out when I took a shower. We carried several bottles of water (as well as other snacks/food) into the parks last week and were never stopped. I would also think they might be a little more accomodating to a pg woman.

We were at WL and had a pack-and-play, although they may have full-sized cribs (not sure). I would call and double-check. All of the rooms there have fridges. They are very small (fit under the sink) and do not have a freezer compartment.

HTH!

ok, first issue: food allergies
make reservations for any meals you are plaaning on and tall them about your daughters allergy in advance

next issue: groceries
We loved goodings but there are many that will deliver.
If you pack diapers in your bag you will have space for souveniers going back. Food and water though I would order. Soy milk, cereal, fruit, maybe brea or bagels with your DD's favourite spread.

next issue: water
Congrats on the baby. Have water delivered - the florida tap water is nasty and you can't get the taste out with a brita.

last issue: random
I am not sure if it is a pack and play or a crib at WL but both will be safe. One tip: the sheets are kind of yucky. Bring linens - they really helped DD feel at home. We even brought her bumper and put it around the pack n play. Even if the fridge does not have a freezer, you can always get some ice from the ice maker and just put the milk and ice together in a ziplock.
