Advice needed - CC

Basically, I've just had to cancel my credit card because of some unauthorised transactions - FIVE DAYS before we're due to go away. A replacement card is not going to arrive before we leave.

It wouldn't be so bad, but I have made ALL my Disney reservations on that card - PPP tickets, BBB, restaurants that require CC in case of a no-show. I'm not flipping out that things are going to fall apart. My biggest fear is that they will not let me pick up my PPP tickets as I'm supposed to be collecting them from Guest Services once we arrive.

I will have my passport with me, I've managed to find a letter from the CC company saying "thanks and welcome" which also includes the number of the now shredded card, and I think I can probably find a copy of the statement that has the PPP tickets purchase on.

In this day and age, I'm sure this happens to numerous people when they go to Disney - that their card is no longer working due to fraud/whatever. Anyway, if I take all the above mentioned paperwork, do you think that will be enough proof, or am I still going to have issues?

If it were me I would insist that the CC company get a replacement card to me - it's their fault that the transactions have gone through and that you have had to cancel your card. I would tell them that you are going to the States and have reservations that require confirmation of your credit card, and get them to couriour the card to you either before you go or to you Resort Hotel.

I did, I tried! He did go and speak to his supervisor to see if there was anything he could do, but said it had to go through all the normal channels and there was no way of speeding it up. I told him everything was booked on that card and even asked for a letter or something, but nope, nothing! Even if the new card did arrive in time, not sure I'd have any credit to use on it anyway, because these evil people have taken me well over the limit, and not sure how fast those payments will come off, or whether they will only be removed once I sign the disclaimer to say I didn't make those purchases.

Aren't credit card numbers given just in case of a 'no show', if you pay for your tickets by cash, explain the situation, give your confirmation number Disney have given you, take your passport, I'm sure they will understand. Can't you give them a ring prior to travelling to set your mind at rest.

I think replacement cards would have a different number anyway. I would scream and shout until bank replaced the card and ensured there was credit on it - especiallyif you need it for your holiday!!!

Me too! We rely on our when we go away as we don't like to carry cash in large amounts so we would be in trouble if this happened to us.

Well, thankfully, we're on the DDP, so we have very little to pay out for. We're only buying a handful of presents, for which we already have cash left over from the last holiday. It was just for emergency use, but I do have another card, so it's not totally the end of the world, just that my PPP tickets are already paid for and just need collecting... with my now shredded card!

Oh crubs, now I'm worried, i have PPP party tickets to pick up too and thought i would just be ok with the confirmation number and passport, I don't remember which card i used for the tickets think i need to dig out some statements.....

when we picked up our tickets they didnt even ask yo see the card, they was all in an envelope with our name on , i gave them our name showed them our disney room key and that was good enough, it had been paid for ages ago on the card i wouldnt worry.
