Advice Needed: BLT Grand Villa Lake View

[Disney On The Bayou]

I have an upcoming trip in a GV/LV at BLT and this will be the first time we are staying at BLT.... Any advice? Room Request? Accessing the parks? Things to do (not to do) in the area?

Also, what can I expect about the room itself? All suggestions greatly appreciated!

I think this thread has great information as to which rooms are where, and the views that they offer.

Where you want to request depends on what you want to be closest too. If you are north side of BLT, you'll be closure to MK, if you are on the south side, you'll be closer to CR and all that it offers.

From our room on 7th floor on the south side, it was about 12 minutes down to the lobby and over to BLT.

I would recommend the Contemp Cafe for QS too. The food is really good, and I think I ate there at least 1x a day, everyday of our visit there.

Yup . It is really a quick trip! And it's so nice to walk right past the long lines for the buses at park closing time and straight to your room.
