advice for viewing MSEP and then wishes - no FP

Disney has just added MSEP to our second MK at 7. Wishes is at 8. We have a 3 year old so weren't planning on seeing either but now it might be possible. We don't mind having to camp out for a good parade viewing spot. Any suggestions as to where we can be to see both? Is that possible? We are going to be there on a fairly low crowd day.

With the Hub so torn up, I can't offer much help.

Grab a spot on Main Street near Casey's or the Plaza (both are restaurants on Main Street.)
I'd get there 60-90 minutes before the first even.
