Advice for Standard view AKV studio

We are spending a couple of nights in an AKV standard view studio (Jambo House) on our next trip. Unfortunately I did not have the points for a savannah view, so looking for recommendations. I believe most of the standard rooms at Jambo are pool view or partial savannah/reclassified. Can I request the latter, or is there a better way to increase my chance of getting one of those reclassified rooms?

You can request anything. I have had it both ways with a std 1BR. Asked for savanna and got it, and asked for savanna and got pool. While I was initially a bit disappointed on the pool view stay, it became less so over time as our location just above the lobby proved very convenient. Good luck!

Ask for a room far from the elevator and you will probably get a savanna-ish view. Worked for us. Just be prepared to walk

Request room on the Kudo Trail side of the building (left side of the u-shaped building). All standards on that side of the building are rooms converted from savanna view and all actually have decent savanna views.
