Advice for packing wine

We are flying in the morning of our cruise. If I understand correctly, we will tag our luggage at our home airport and using DCL transfers we won’t see it until it’s in our stateroom. If we want to take wine, it has to be in checked luggage, but at the ship it has to be in carryon, so any thoughts on how to get our wine on board? Will we have to keep one of our checked bags untagged through DCL and then get it ourselves in Orlando and move the wine to a carry on? Is there an easier way? Or a place to get a couple bottles of wine near the airport since we won’t have a car?

You should be able to get a few bottles of wine at the airport itself.

Actually, no. The only liquor sales are in the duty free shops (past security in the international terminal).

Yes, when putting your DCL tags on (at home), don't put them on one bag (the one you're packing your wine in). Once at Orlando, claim the one bag, transfer wine from checked bag to carry on bag. Put DCL luggage tag on checked bag at this point.

Bring checked bag with you to the DCL transfer desk. Hand in checked bag and it will be placed on the luggage truck to be delivered to your stateroom onboard the ship.

Thank you. It’ll be a little bit of a hassle having to go to baggage claim but I hadn’t thought about being able to then put the tag on it and handing it over.
