Hello,
Well I am going to have trouble sleeping tonight because some close friends of DW and I ... want to take an adults only WDW trip in January. My friend is a Disney nut same as myself ... and if you saw him you would never guess it ... as he is a rather burly union shoppe foreman. He started the phone conversation with me tonight stating the following:
"There are 3 things you never have to ask me .. you just assume Yes"
1.) Do I want pizza
2.) Intimacy with his wife
3.) Do you want to go to WDW
So DW and I are GF freaks ... love everything about it.
Side Note she will have stayed at GF 6 times in the last calendar year come mid-november (twice on business) ... so jealous .... oh how DIFFICULT it is to talk to her on her quote-unquote "BUSINESS" trips on the phone as I struggle to give the kids a bath... as she explains to me how she dined at Victoria and Alberts .... but that is okay, I vicariously live through her in these times.
Anyway I digress...
My friend and his wife assumed we want to go to GF...but then I got to thinking... wait a second ... no kids. This is a whole new dynamic.
We will spend most of our time at MGM, Epcot, DTD. So now I would like to ask the awesome people on Disboards their thoughts. Would you go Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk? I thought about AKL ... but the goal would be to minimize transportation and waiting for busses.
I have heard great things about Beaches and Cream (I think the name is) ... heck that alone could have me sleeping in a Beach Club room
I decided against the whole 2 bedroom suite due to the cost (not practical for 4 adults in my opinion) ... so I would like to get rooms that open into each other (adjoining). Would also like a view of the water ... maybe the fireworks as well. Maybe someone here has experience with this type of arrangement in the past
Thank you in advance for all you pearls of wisdom.
