Advice for 7-person ADRs??

We have 5 adults and 2 children (one 7yo, one 2yo) in our November party. I'm starting to stress just a little, since I'm in charge of ADRs for all these folks Various posts have made me question if I'm missing some important info....several posts about even-numbered vs odd-numbered parties being preferred in the booking system, several restaurants not having availability for larger groups, etc. Any advice from those who have been there, done that??

I have an even numbered party of 8. However, we got everything that we wanted for our trip in June....CRT, BOG dinner, lunch, and breakfast, Star Wars breakfast X 2 and dinner X 2, Beaches and Cream X 2. Some of it could depend on how long your stay is and which restaurants you want (like our BOG dinner and lunch are for later in the stay because there was no availability on our first MK day), but you shouldn't have problems just because of your party size.

Try first for your actual party size, but if you have difficulty getting anything, especially for restaurants that don't immediately book up, try making one for 8 or splitting it up into 2 reservations. Then you can call and have them combine them.

I wouldn't worry too much. I am helping plan my friends trip and they are also 7 people - 4 adults and 3 kids. We have all of her ADR plans written out and each day we have both been checking the site just to see how the restaurants are looking for a party of 7 and there have been openings for each and that is only looking at the last day on the online calendar, not 180+10. So I am hoping she won't have any problems. The only 2 restaurants that I told her to have backups for because tables aren't showing up is Chef Mickeys breakfast and Sci-fi (I was surprised at how popular Sci-Fi is). We have had no problems looking for a party of 7. Her 180 day mark is May 18th so heres to hoping! Good luck to you!

I am doing my ADRs for my Nov trip on Saturday morning.. Getting really excited and nervous but most of my adrs are for 4 ppl and 2 of my breakfasts are for just myself so I am hoping I have no issues.

We have some family joining us in the middle of our trip, which made our group 11 for those days. I made all of our reservations as soon as the window opened, and was able to get everything I wanted. This included an Ohana breakfast and Via Napoli dinner which are more difficult to get.

We have 9 in our group and are staying 10 nights. The only ADR I had a problem getting for 9 was Le Cellier. I was on the computer right at 6 am with my list and got everything else we wanted at the exact times we wanted. Don't stress too much!
