Advice, first time booker, get it any cheaper??

The meal plans are no use to us, as we wont get our moneys worth, as we are not big eatters, so myself and my son can easily share an adults meal.

You probably can share a meal with your son now, but I have a 7 year old sitting next to me who reminds me how much kids change fast
We were able to share when he was 5 but next october when we go back to wdw he'll be 2 months short of 8 and we upgraded him to adult because he wouldn't have enough with a kids meal, and he was a small eater at 5 years old

My point is that october 2017 is a long time from now and kids will eat more as they grow up

Next, if you don't mind my asking, you mentionned 1 infant under 2 for october 2017
October 2017 is 2 years and 9 months away ... So it struck my curiosity ...

i agree with everything already said about the advantages to indirect and we did it with a 4,5 and 6 year old i think a single longer flight would have felt longer than the 2 shorter ones with connecting time

during our connection time we used the loo sat and had a meal and cocktail and then by the time we had taken the tram to the next terminal we were almost ready to board again.

i think you should b able to make some saving as for your infant you have no airfare or theme park tickets to pay for, regarding the dining how old with the infant be? will they be having there own food or also sharing from your plate ?the dining plan may work well for the 3 of you plus its really nice for the kids to choose there snacks and have nothing to pay as the ice creams and treats can soon add up , plus if you are going back to your room with the infant to nap etc you will get lots of use from your drink mugs

also a negative is have u considered the logistics of rides and attractions ?? is the older one going to be confident enough to ride the larger rides alone while you wait with the baby, are you happy for him to do that ?

haha sorry I should have said, we are planning another baby, so by that time, they shouldn't be any older than 2 years old. Also since my partner will be staying at home and not coming with us, I might even leave the baby with him, and just it be me and my son, I don't know yet

Hello, well yeah ive been thinking that today, and if it is a once in a few years kind of trip, my son will want to do the fast rides, so I am now thinking Baby is prob best off staying with Daddy while I take my son, as my partner is not wanting to do WDW (saves me money too haha) so it will more and likely just be me and by son. But this wont change anything ive priced up as the infant would have been free anyways

I thought so, I mentionned because you would need to include an infant on your booking even if they don't pay at disney they need to be listed on the booking albeit you can add them later on an existing booking
It's for the flight that it is important
I'm not familiar with adding an infant on an existing flight itinerary so maybe another DISer can advise on that
But the infant will need a ticket, passport and esta
That's a lot for a very little one ;)

Even if you are not a big eater don't discount free dining.

There are so many character and themed meals that can add a lot to your hols. Places like sci fi and t rex may appeal to your DS.

I'd definitely check the priced if and when free dining offer is released for 2017.

Could you fly from Manchester? There were a lot of scottish on our Thomson flight in October to save money.
