Advice about NYE period

Hi Everyone,
I am after your expert advice. My husband wants to go to Islands of Adventure and Universal. We will be there from 30th Dec-2nd Jan 2008.

Our flight arrives on the 30th of December at around 6:30. I assume that by 8:30pm we will be checked in and hopefully at one of the parks. It is open till 10pm that night so i figure we can get in a ride or two. DO you think this is possible?

We then have the whole next day 31st of December. I realise that it is NYE that day but if we are there at 8am i am hoping to get alot done and we will then hop from the parks.

We also have the 1st of January to hop between the two parks.

DOes this sound possible? I figure for $86....we cant really go wrong. Even if we only get there to take photos i guess it is all about the experience!!!!

The parks are open until 10p or 11p during the Dec 26th-Dec 31st superpeak (that one week is the busiest of the year). Where are you staying--on site or off?

You can easily take one day for each park, so relax. It will not be busy on NYE until around 11a. That gives you 2-3hrs where the lines will be 30 mins or less. After that---60+ until at least 8p.

We are staying off site. I also have the morning of the 2nd of January before we transfer down to WDW that we could go to the parks if we dont have everything done that we want to do!
