Thank you - I guess they have to call everyone, even the ones they don't want? Jeepers !!! What sort of time do we estimate? Will I have to sit by the phone through the night? !! I think we're 5 hours ahead in the UK now?

If I hadn't looked at these boards I wouldn't even have been expecting to hear today. I'm glad I'm prepared now. If the phone had gone during Desperate Housewives I probably would have ignored it - no-one ever rings that late....

Hi everyone! I asked them to call me between 10 am and noon, and it is now officially afternoon. Maybe they are waiting until 3 pm like last year? What a roller coaster. God bless you all!

Successfully made it to and from DD's preschool! I even went to Pilates, but didn't relax much. Let's see...they did ask us for our preferences as to when they would call today....maybe they have decided, instead to make the calls together as it sounds they've done in the past. In that case, they'd be calling more toward the later time requests...did anyone request a time late in the afternoon? It might be my fault for requesting an afternoon phonecall! Sorry if that has anything to do with it! We will hear soon, I'm sure! Good luck to all as always!

I do recall that last year, everyone was asked to not post until they had a chance to contact everyone ("yes"s and the "no"s). It didn't take too long, but there was a few hour period of "radio silence."

I'm going to have to send an updated contact email soon...I have to leave the house in an hour for conferences. In fact, that's where I was last year when they tried to call. Eeek - I'm hoping for a better outcome this year...feel like I've already done this part!

I thought I was being pretty outwardly calm today. But when I decided to shower earlier, as soon as I was completely drenched, BRRRING, the phone! You should have seen me open that shower door and lunge for the phone. It was my DH. Sigh...

All's been quite here since.

Almost all of the Halloween candy is now gone. I have cleaned up the house. Too bad there's not any snow to shovel!

This happened to me also...well I wasn't in the shower but DH kept calling on my work phone to see if I heard anything (I am a teleworker). Of course, every time the phone rings, my heart races. Finally had to tell him: 'don't call me, I'll call you!' Haven't heard from him since...nor has he heard from me!
