Adventurers Club

I'm intrigued by the AC, but have never been. In large part, because I'm not much of a "joiner" when it comes to entertainment -- much prefer to be in the audience. Can someone like me be entertained w/o feeling out of place because we're not really interacting with the cast?

After seeing this thread and checking out the sites posted by others, I am so excited to checkout the Adventurer's Club!

Just a few questions to make sure we don't miss anything,

1) what is the best time to go so that we do not miss the new members induction? Does it happen several times each evening or is it a once a night happening?

2) according to the bar menu the Kungaloosh is the drink of new members, do we have to get that beverage? Does it have to be in the monkey head or Yakoose cup?

3) Does the "show" proceed from main salon to mask room to library? Are we free to wander around those rooms or are we guided to them as the show proceeds?

Any other tips or hints to best enjoy the AC and get the most out of our visit? Yes I am an overplanner, and just want to make sure that I have things covered. Plus I will have a better time if I know somewhat of what is expected from us.

1. NMI happens about four times a night. Doubtful you will miss it.

2. You can order whatever drink you like...in a glass. No monkey heads or yakoose cups anymore. Now on to the "Monkey Nut". You can order your drink in a Monkey Nut, but it'll cost ya extra. :)

3. You can wander in the Treasure Room and the Mask Room whenever you like if there are no shows going on in there. Library is off limits except during the shows. Main Salon is always open and the Treasure Room and Mask Room are extensions of that room. Zebra Mezzanine is upstairs as you enter.
There are several shows throughout the night in each room. I guess you could say it "progresses" but for the most part, if you miss a show, its not like you are "out of the loop" so if you feel like sitting in the main salon sucking on a Kungaloosh (or beverage of your choice...I prefer a Grateful Dead...not even on the menu), feel free to do so. Lots of fun ensues out there as well.

The only thing that is expected of you in the AC is to have a good time. :) Just sit back and relax and take it all in. Its a fabulous place. I have never felt passionate about something so much as to make a website before and frankly, that says something. :)

Greetings To All Fellow Adventurers,
The Aventurers Club is an excellent interactive experience and it is a must for us on our annual excursions to the World. We will be at CBR from the 1st of October thru the 16th and plan on going to PI a few times or more during our stay. If you are new to the experience and would like to join a couple of veterans to the action then feel free to e-mail us direct.

Kungaloosh,

Kevin & Paula :cool1:

DH and I went twice on our May trip after not going for a few years. We LOVED it and were rolling in the aisles. Since we hadn't been in a while I didn't notice any cast changes but we liked Kiki the maid the best. I can almost taste the Kungaloosh now. Only 9 more weeks until we're there again!

Oh, the link didn't open for me. :-( I have 3 of the tiki's (not sure what they are called really) from 10 years ago. :sunny:

Other have asked about children. The first time we went to the AC our DS was 10 and DD was 7. What a great time they had!! With all the activity going on, they never thought of themselves being in a "bar". And the "characters" loved interacting with them. Our most memorable experience that time was after the library "show" with the maid. We were all wearing Colorado Rockies jackets, and yes, she "picked" on us and had DH on the stage. (he is NOT one that interacts but he did this, very reluctantly) Aftger the show the maid was asking around, looking for the Colorado Bobsled Team. :rotfl2: It was great!! We have a great pic of us with her.

Our last visit was in Dec '04. This time we wore Denver Bronco jackets and were again made notice of. :earboy2: My DH doesn't like attention drawn to him, but he's the one that suggests we go with matching jackets. :rotfl2:

I wholeheartedly recommend the AC to everyone that asks what to do at WDW. We've never been disappointed in out outtings there!! Kind of sad to know some of the folks aren't there anymore, but the new members will carry on and continue the adventure.

As of Aug 24 we will be empty nesters. Our next trip to WDW will be just DH and myself. It may be a few years down the road, but we are looking forward to it. Reminds me of those commercials Disney had on a few years ago!!!!!

Kungaloosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (what a great drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I went for the first time last week (we always walked by, but never went in) and I LOVED  IT!!! I can't imagine it being any better !!! I had a blast, and am planning our next visit around it!!!

AdventurerKat,

I love the Madlib-style Adventure generator !!!!!
Here's the 'adventure' I came up with on my first try :rotfl2:

An Exciting Adventure.
It was almost 6 pm. It was 96 degrees in New Zealand. I had been on safari for 4 hours hoping to find the elusive aardvark. I had been surviving on only strawberries and meatloaf washed down with plenty of vodka which was all I had after running out of Kungaloosh. It was still better than Mountain Dew. As I hacked my way through the dense growth of cactus I was surprised to come upon a tea party! Instead of a Mad Hatter, the party was hosted by Samantha Sterling and the guest of honor was none other than President Clinton.

It seems I had interrupted them just as they were discussing whether Hilary Clinton should be allowed to be a Jungle Cruise pilot. President Clinton said Hilary Clinton would make a better house plant than a Jungle Cruise pilot and Samantha Sterling said ' I'll drink to that ' and took a gulp of Kungaloosh. Once I realize how well supplied the tea party bar was, I stayed for another 4 hours and forgot all about why I was looking for a aardvark anyway.

:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Question about the AC...DD (19yo CPer) and I went in May and it was a lot of fun. I'd like to go back in Dec, but I'll be a solo married woman. Still fun? I'm not much of a partyer, I just enjoyed looking at the statue of Poseiden that got me suspended from the 3rd grade as a pornographer. :rotfl2: Loooooong story!

Thanks Kitster. I desperately need to update them both, especially the mag, but finding the time is difficult. I will get it going some time though. :)

Hey 5th Beatle:

Stay out, fine with me! More room on the barstools for us!

I think you're thinking of two different Pamelia's. The one who plays at MGM is Sugar Snap, who plays a great French Maid. One of the other Pamelia's is at the Hoopty Doo Review, but she was there on Saturday night. She is also a French maid named Sunny. Don't worry, they all come back to the AdvClub occasionally.

Man, I cannot wait for my next Kungaloosh!

I love the Adventurer's Club!

Hey Bensmom,

Allison, our favorite Pemilia would also occasionally appear as the French Canadian Maid. First time I ever saw her, she was in that role.

I think the maintained a schedule for switching up the roles. I've deffinately seen several of the cast playing multiple characters in a week's time.
