Not sure where to post this but . . .

Has anyone been to the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island? From reading the descriptions, sounds like it might be fun since we have older dd's (16 and 11). Any advice?

:wave2:

We were just there. My kids really enjoyed the Adventurer's Club, but liked the comedy show better. It was done like the show, Who's line is it anyway. The Adventurers club is an interactive show, where you are brought all though the building while different actors put on skits. It was alot of fun but we were with a group of people who were rude so it could have been better. My kids are ages 13,14 & 18. I think they liked going to PI. It made them feel grown up.

Thanks for the information - Do you pay for entry to each club or just to PI?

We hadn't thought about the Comedy Club - so it's not too old? language?

The comedy club was more kid friendly then I think the adventures club was. Not you pay one price and if you have UPH, or passes with a plus I think you can use that. We had them included in our passes so we went back a few times. I was looking for tickets for my sister and found a good deal on passes for PI from Mousesavers http://www.ticketmania.com/discounttickets.shtml

You can email me if you have any questions. I will gladly answer what I can. Gina

The earlier shows, both Comedy and AC are best for "young" adults.

Your kids will definitely enjoy PI. You pay once to enter, there are no other fees to enter any of the clubs. Adults over 21 are given wristbands to prove they are of drinking age. Each club offers refreshments, but there is no obligation to buy. Oftentimes we just say "no thanks" to the server, without any pressure to purchase a drink or snacks. My advice would be to arrive at the gate when PI opens at 7. (We usually have an early dinner in DD, so we're close by when it opens). Check the board to see what time the first show starts at the Comedy Club, and see that first. The humor at the Comedy Club is Disney (child) friendly for the early shows. Maybe you'll be lucky and sit next to the red phone...:) After the Comedy Club, head across to the Adventurers Club. In order to see all the entertainment this club has to offer, you will need to stay for at LEAST an hour. Besides what's going on in the main room, throughout the evening you will be invited to three other rooms, the Mask Room, the Treasure Room, and the Library (which is hidden behind a secret entrance...a hoot, don't miss it!)

We've been two times and really enjoyed it the second time. The first time we didn't understand what was going on. We had a drink and watched one show and left. If you go in and really take in what's going on in the library before the show and stick around awhile after the show, you'll be amazed. We haven't done it in some time and will be going in 23 days - we're definitely going to the Adventurer's Club this time. My husband loves it.

it's appropriate for your daughters - nice and clean.

We discovered the Adventurer's Club on our last trip to Disney....by accident really. The temps were very cold at night (40's) and we went into the building to get out of the cool air. We ended up seeing 3 showing that night....each one was different because they play off of the people in the crowd.
My husband was pulled on stage by a 'french maid' and they did a tap dance...he loved it! He had to go back the next night to get his picture taken with her.....I was sung to by one of the actors as well.

I would definitely suggest sitting around for a while before and after the show as well....it gives you a better sense of the show.

DH & I LOVE the Adventurer's Club. It's a great place for those who want a night out but don't want the "club" atmosphere. And we're relatively young...29 & 27 respectively. We're paying to go to PI so we can visit the Adventurer's Club in just a few weeks.

We have gotten admission into Pleasure Island before 7 pm when we stayed off-site. You don't get a wrist band so if you leasve the area you can't return unless you pay.

We went to the Adventurer's club in 2002 (parents, grandparent, me and my fiance) We all loved it, although we didn't have kids with us, there were kids there who appeared to be enjoying the show. Be prepared for audience participation (in the nicest way) they had my 72 year old grandad up on stage dancing, he was awarded an adventurer's club pin afterwards. I would recommend it. In fact my fiance is desperate to go back there when we visit WDW this summer.:earsgirl:

The early show at the Comedy Warehouse is probably best for children. This is because the show is based on audience suggestions and the later in the evening it gets, the more drinking the audience members have done and their suggestions (which Disney can't control) can be VERY off-color at times.

We were at the Adventurer's Club two weeks ago and as a parent, I think I would have been uncomfortable had there been younger children there. I really enjoyed the club and the interaction with the actors, but I felt their routines were a bit racy and intended for adults. Maybe they tone it down if there are kids in the audience, but I do believe that PI in the evening is a spot for those 18 and older.
