Most of the chairs from the Main Salon--the ones surrounding the couch--have been removed. Opens the room up for the massive crowds that have been there as of late, but also destroys the "chill" feel the Club had.

They have souvenier cups now, just in time for closing. The Babylona cups sold out last night, now onto Arnie and Claude (from the Mask Room).

Crowds have been insane, biggest in over a decade. Signs have been posted outside the door saying reentry is not guaranteed, and the Balderdash Cup has been exiting outside on the weekends. Lot of guests coming back "one last time."

How sad and pathetic is that? Way to go Disney, way to exceed guests expectations.

Thanks for the update. We're planning on going the 27th, but we're actually starting to wonder if it's a good idea - will it be enjoyable at all?

We were there last Saturday night and it was crazy already.

We were there last night too.
Glad I bought a cup. In the first library show one of the cast mentioned to buy them before they ran out. We did next show. Guess they were right!
Chairs were gone. Someone else there mentioned the chairs were there Friday night and it was extremely crowded.
Entering at 8:00 p.m. was not bad. The first show they even had us exit directly into the lobby area.
As the night wore on, the crowd was very thick.
We then went to CW, who also had a pretty full house. But more normal than for a Saturday night.
I saw that sign out front at least 2 - 3 weeks ago about possibly not being able to re-enter. So that must have been an issue for awhile now.
AC will certainly be missed.

We were there from Wednesday night (we landed at 10:00pm and drove straight there) through Saturday night. Wednesday night and Thursday night were crowded, but not terrible. Friday night we were asked to exit after the Balderdash Cup and when we went around to the front of the building, they were taking a count because they were pretty close to capacity. Luckily we made it back in, but it was really a LOT of work to try to make it into all of the shows.

Saturday night, we didn't even try to make it into all of the shows (we did every other show). I personally was glad that they removed the chairs, because it made the awkward shuffle into the library a little easier without the additional obstacles.

I cannot even begin to imagine how busy it is going to be on the last weekend. I had heard stories about people who were planning on lining up at 8:00am on Friday!!

That's insane. THIS Friday?

Probably meant Saturday the 27th? Maybe Friday the 26th?

FWIW, this past Satuday, my friends and I arrived at around 7:15 and were first in line. Crowds don't seem to build until just before 9:00--no one generally has a problem getting into the welcome ceremony, for instance.

Would'nt it make sense to move this club lock, stock, and barrel into AK? Put it by Camp Minnie Mickey. It fits the AK theme and would be a great place for some to hang while the rest of the family sees the animals. Just a thought.

I'm afraid if it was moved to a theme park they would have to tone down much of the dialogue.

If that happened it wouldn't be the same.

I don't think that it would be anything like the Adventurers Club if they put it inside a park. As Maistre Gracey mentioned, they would have to significantly change the shows. Right now the humor is aimed more at adults, but inside a park they would almost certainly aim the shows more at kids. Plus, one of the great things about the Club is that it's an entertainment option for outside the parks in the evenings. While I think it could possibly work right outside a park, like the Rainforest Cafe at AK, I don't think it would work at all inside a park.

By the looks of this past Saturday, and believe me, it was "crazy", I am very worried about what the final nights will bring.

Nah, then it would have to close by 5 PM and do kiddie shows.

If they start lining up at 8 AM then there's no way I'm going in there the 27th. I may have hung around that club for a lot of years but I'm not waiting around outside anything for 12 hours. If Jesus, Elvis and Walt Disney were going to show up and perform the Balderdash Cup show I wouldn't wait around there for 12 hours.

(I may have done that in college but I'm too old for that now)

That would be a pretty good line-up. Wonder who would play who. :rotfl:

Backup plan is HHN for that night and you're invited. :) I'm not lining up at 8:00 a.m. either.

One has to assume that Final Night is going to be pure chaos at every club on PI. I've not heard that they're extending operating hours...opening early or remaining open later. That would be a great idea if they did. Thus, the recommendation has to be for anyone going that night to ARRIVE EARLY and stay where you're at. That's not possible for the comedy clubs since they boot everyone out but I'm thinking that if you're inside a dance club, you'd best stay there because if you venture out, you may not get in anywhere else including the club you just departed from!

Kungaloosh. Means "Hello", "Good-bye", or "Where the Heck are the Chairs?" ;)

I was seriously going to buy airfare to visit the Club one last time, but the 8:00 am thing is scaring me off as well..

I personally know of several people flying in from across the country for Final Night. That's why I'm saying it's going to be chaos out there. Hundreds of people with PI AP's will be going, no telling how many WDW AP holders are going to go, no telling how many tickets will be sold at the booths and ticket machines that night and no telling how many tickets sold by ticket brokers in the prior weeks and months will be redeemed that night. There are apparently no plans to control the number of people entering the island that night but the clubs themselves will have their normal capacity controls. So you're going to have a lot of people with paid admission not able to get into any venue. That ain't good.

Well an ugly rumor is now starting to circulate on other groups that they might charge higher admission for entry to PI on the final night. Not that I would put it past Disney to try to get all they can out of the crowds, but surely they won't do that!

I had planned to be there for the final night but it was an either/or thing and I decided to go last weekend instead. I decided I wanted my last Club experience to be more like the Club I know and love - the last night is going to be crazy! I can see things getting really ugly the last night if they don't have really good crowd control plans in place.

I understand about the final night thing. I REALLY want to go over, but I don't want to feel squished like a bug all night. Plus, we heard that the regular cast won't even be performing that night. One of the main reasons I go over there is for the cast. I can still see them closing the club early to avoid all the problems of crowd control. The rumor has been out there and I don't put anything past Disney at this point.
