Grr... stupid search feature not working.

Last time I was at the Adventurer's Club, which was about two and a half years ago, they seemed to cycle through their show twice in a weekday evening. I was curious if they're still doing this and if so approximately what time they start the second cycle? We've got dinner plans with another couple for the night I want to go and I want to make sure we don't miss too much since it will be my fiance's first time.

Er... actually it doesn't and I've already been there. I'm specifically asking if there are still two shows a night, and if anyone knows what time the second one starts. All that site says is that the first activity starts around 7:20 and the last one ends after midnight. It doesn't tell me if there are still two shows and if there are, about what time the second one starts.

There are multiple shows in each room every night (a lot more than two, over a dozen)--however, each show is different. The first show (in the library) at 7:20 lasts 20 minutes. When you come out, there will be a 10-minute show in one of the side rooms. Soon after, another (completely different) 20-minute show in the library. This continues all night, until the final show of the night (the Hoopla) in the Library shortly after midnight.

You could literally sit there from 7:00 to 12:45 and continuously see new shows (in fact, you would still miss a couple because there is some overlap as the night progresses). So you will miss something now matter when you go. Of course, if you miss one show in the Mask Room, there will usually be another one (hosted by another Adventurer) within an hour or so.

Personal advice, try to get there by 9:30 for the Balderdash Cup, best show of the night, stay as long as you feel like afterwards.

I can confirm there are not two shows a night... there is a script of a series of shows that includes the mask room, treasure room, and the library shows. Each show is different. Most of the stuff that happens in the main salon is not scripted, but there are at least two new member induction ceremonies each night, which may be what you are remembering as two shows.

The scripted shows are still nearly unchanged after many many years... I think they are long overdue for some new material. We stay in the main salon for the unscripted and more interactive fun.

What has changed is that with the new Pleasure Island format the Adventurer's Club is free from 7 to 9 PM, then a wristband is required. Sometimes that 9pm time is extended depending on some circumstances. I think the show times are a little later than they used to be because of this.

Also, youc an see the effects of the new PI policy and free time with many more families and children present during the early hours. It didn't seem to slow them down too much... most of the humor goes over their heads.. did see them once check themselves after realizing they'd gone too far with kids around. But they are very good at entertaining the children and interacting with them. We went one nightwithout and one night with our 6 year old daughter. She was very entertained. Thursday nights during the summer there has been a DVC block party with free PI admission fthe rest of the night for the DVC members who attend the block party between 5 and 7pm, so we took her that night when there were lots of kids around.

Say hello to Kirk! Amazingly, he and a couple of others are still working there after many years.
