Adventurer's club closing?

I am a huge, huge fan of the Adventurer's Club. A cast member friend of mine says that he's heard that it is going to be closing. He is in merchandising so I am doubtful of his information but then he works for the mouse so he hears more inside information than I do, obviously.

Has anyone heard that rumor? I sure hope he is wrong.

Read that same rumor on hear back in November that it will be closing. It was a great place. I had only been there once, but had a great time. Got some great pics of DH bowing to the face on the wall. It's too bad that they are closing the place. Can't remember the specifics on why.

From what I understand as of right now it's just a rumor. Nothing has been confirmed yet. You'll find some people who are as adamant that it will be closing as those who say it isn't. Personally I love the AC and I hope it's around for a long time!

Disney IS completely "re-designing" the area of PI where the AC is located.

Whether they will MOVE the AC, leave it alone, or close it, is still unknown.

But the fact that the area is going to be CHANGED stirs up a lot of discussion and RUMORS.

I will say that I've been disappointed with the new "open access" at pleasure island which allows people to wander the area. I'm sure it's good for business because people will buy drinks while walking around without having to pay to enter PI, but seeing children with their parents at times when they should probably be in bed really ruins the atmosphere for me.

... by now it's either open for another year, or it's waiting on the wrecking ball.

Unfortunately, I am not at WDW, so i do not know, but the performers *should* have just signed on for another year.
