Has anyone done the Adventure Express Tour at Sea World? Any reviews?

We are going the week before Thanksgiving so I don't think Sea World should be too crowded :confused3 . But it may still be worth the money to have someone escort you around.

It'll be $75 per person for the day we want to go. Does the lunch they provide any vegetarian or seafood options? We don't eat meat but do eat seafood. So I was wondering if there is anything we will be able to eat for lunch.

Also when you feed the dolphins, are you with the regular crowds or does the tour group get it's own area?

Thanks in advance for all the help!
:thumbsup2

Hi we did this last year and it was good, lunch though was just cold cuts, bread, lettuce etc not really that great, the tour though was good

Thanks for the info! I'm still trying decide if we want to do the tour, but it doesn't sound like we'll have a lot of options for lunch.

I still have awhile to think about it.

Anyone else have more information about the tour? We are considering doing this at xmas time. Is it worth it? What do you get to do on the tour? Anything you can tell me about it is appreciated it.

Thanks!!

It's a nice tour especially if you want to not have to worry about not missing anything or running back and forth all over the park trying to get everything in. The tour guides have all the animal info answers for any questions people might have. They give you some free time if you don't care to go on the big roller coaster (Kraken) or Journey to Atlantis. I noticed that they have extended the time for that tour from 6 to 7 hours. They also increased the price recently from to $95 for adults and $80 for kids (park admission not included).
As far as what you get to do, you get two shows (we did Believe and Blue Horizons). You get front of the line for Kraken and JTA, lunch at the Dine w/Shamu area (very cool), you feed the dolphins, sting rays, and seals/sea lions without having to fight the crowds :) That's what I remember from our tour.

Anyone else out there done the tour? We just booked it for christmas. Do they take you around the park for the entire time? What do we do if we don't hit the coasters? Any major attractions/shows we don't get to see? The shows we do get to see, do we get preferred seating? Any other tidbits?

That price seems a bit much, is it worth it?

Do you have a link to any additional info. about this tour? We will be going in Feb and DD will be turning 10 and would love soemthing like this, but there are 5 of us so it would run up the $.

I know she would love it--though!

We are doing this tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes!!

So--How was it?

How many people are on the tour? Do you follow a certain itinerary that they have or do they tailor to the ages of the people on the tour?

Advantages v. Disdvantages as you see it.

Thanks.

As you may notice I am in the serious :surfweb: planning stage of our trip. Also want to do soemthing special for DD's birthday, so I appreciate any other specifics about this tour.
Thanks.

It was AWESOME!!

There were 13 people on our tour, we had to follow a specific itenerary, but yours might be different. Each tour of the day had a different itenrary but we met up with other tours at lunch and some shows. Our tour hit the feedings (Stingray, Seals, Dolphins) and then rides, lunch, shows.

One big note, the lunch is not a FULL out lunch and Shamu dining experiance. We had book the Shamu dining, but since our lunch was the full shamu dining experiance we cancelled it. No more cold cuts, etc. We had a full meal with hot food and deserts.

We went two days after xmas on a saturday and it was very busy, but in our 7 hours we did just about the entire park We went back on sunday and did the clyde and symore show and took our 2 yo to shamus play area and went on wild arctic (WA wasn't very good, don't wait in line for it)

In a nutshell, the tour was well worth it for us on a busy day at the park. I think I would do it again if I was there during xmas and might even do it if I was there during a slow time. Plan 2 days, one for the tour and one to roam by yourself. If you only have 1 day, do the tour for sure!! You'll still have a few hours after the tour to do whatever you want.

Any specific questions I can answer?

I am going to book this over Spring Break. There are 7 of us going so it will be expensive but I think it will be worth it. I am really excited as I LOVE Sea World! Thanks so much for the review. I really appreciate it! :)

The reason we are doing it is because I have 3 teens and a toddler too. I figure it will help us avoid the lines etc so the little one will be happier. Do you think we will be okay with her? She is almost 3 and has traveled a ton and is very easy going and brave and a very happy little girl. I am bringing my dad along and paying for his tour so he can take her somewhere if we need to and I won't feel guilty about it!

One question...did you find the feeding time with the animals to be enough? I was thinking that maybe we would do the tour at 11:00 and do either some of the rides or feed the dolphins before we start the tour. What do you think?

Thanks for any more advice you may have! :)

I think she will be just fine. We had a 8 and 7 yo withus, but there were smaller kids. Actually the guide will stay with anyone that doesn't want to go on specific rides and they even hold all your bags while your on the ride. We did find the feeding time to be plenty and they give you food at each stop. The only thing we did again was feeding of the seals because our 7 yo really enjoyed it. Each person gets fish so I think you will have plenty of food and time to enjoy each stop.
