Has anyone sent their children to this camp and what was there experience? We are looking into sending our two boys and would like to know if anyone else has anything to report on the resident camps.

My son went to one at San Diego several years ago. Well it was the day camp, I think he was 8. He loved it. He was in a morning camp and did the afternoon fun session. When I picked him up we would tour around the park until 8 oclock showing me what he had done during the day. So he was there open to almost close for 5 days.
Absolutely recommend it. My son has always wanted to do it again, sometimes it's hard to plan since we're in Canada and it's a 2.5 day drive.
He would love to do the resident camp now that's he's old enough but it's so much money. I told him he could do the camp and I'd do a 3 day cruise - that didn't go over well.

That is hilarious, I am trying to convince my youngest to go, that way I can sit in our DVC while they are at the camp. It's a win-win situation I think.

My DD is will be attending her 3rd adventure camp this summer. She was a rising 6th grader for the first camp which was only a day camp. She then went last summer to the residential camp and I rented a condo at Windsor Hills for a week. It was great! This year she will be 15 and attending another week of residential camp while I stay in a condo again. She has an awesome time and I get a relaxing week!

like my mom ( ^ ) said. it was an awesome week! You get to do things u never imagined you could at Sea World. i swam with sharks, went behind the scenes, rode every ride, saw every show (exept alure), talked to trainers, went to Discovery Cove and Aquatica, and cleaned the stingray feeding pool with all of them still in there. and probly 1 of my favorite things was getting woken up by Beluga Whales at 4 in the morning. not very many people get to hear Beluga whales make noises. the first and last nights, the kids get to sleep in either the dolphin, manatee, or wild artic exhibit :). and the week i was there, we got to make oyster reefs that were going into a river to bring back some of the animals and plants. The day camps are also really fun but i prefer the residential camps. i'd have to say it was he best week of my life

Good to hear it is such a good time, I have booked my boys in! I am also liking the idea that my husband and I get a 5 day "vacation" as well.
