Im kicking myself for not upgrading our tickets to APs last trip since we booked our bounce back within a year, however we are second-guessing our September dates in favor of October or November (no bounce back offer). I'm thinking of getting an AP for next trip ahead of time, just for me, to take advantage of the extra room discount and party tickets on potential promos. I believe the year doesn't start until activated at the park, but you can still claim pass holder status for discounts with the voucher, correct? Any other advantages or disadvantages I'm missing?
