Good morning!

I am looking at either purchasing advance tickets online through an agency, or showing my Southwest card at the gate for 20% off.

When I order my tickets online, I get charged my home state tax rate of 6.5%

What is the tax in Florida for gate prices? I know the hotels are high (over 12%) -- thank you!:thumbsup2

You pay 6.5% regardless of where you buy them. That is the Orlando sales tax rate and it applies to all Orlando attraction tickets sold in all states.

Does that apply to me in the UK? if I buy online via visa and print an e-ticket?

Thanks

Yes. I don't know how they've managed it, but Orlando collects tax on ALL theme park tickets for Orlando attractions, regardless of where they are sold. The only exception is for US military purchasing through special outlets.
