adults with small appetites

Hi All,

My mom and sister are heading down to WDW on Saturday (not fair - I have to work). Anyway, my mom, 79, is not a big eater. Can you order a half portion at any of the restaurants? Or there of sharing a plate (with an extra plate charge)? Mom hates to waste food, but I can't see her walking around the park with a doggy bag!

I don't think you can order a half portion but sharing is allowed

As the previous poster stated, no half portions but yes you can share. DH and I have shared with each of our two girls. Also, some restaurants will let adults order from the childrens menu, in Moms case that may be an option also. Disney is pretty accomodating We have shared at 9 Dragons, Concourse Steakhouse, Le Cellier, Les Chefs de France, and the non al you can eat entrees at Whispering Canyon. You CANNOT share on buffets however.

DW & me share all the time & have never had a problem doing it. We do it at most CS places, too. Just ask for an extra plate. At some of the places they will even split the meal for you in the kitchen. Hope they have a great trip--too bad you can't tag along!!

DH and I share 1/2 the time and CS too. When we go in summer it's too hot to eat much (for us). Just gimme a Pina Colada w a floater.

As everyone has said, sharing is most definitely allowed at any non-buffet place.

I used to have a small appetite and I would always first search the appetizers. There's no rule that says you have to order an entree (one of the reasons we don't do the Dining Plan). Just say what you want "as my meal". Or, your mother can simply say to the server "I'm not a big eater, what would you suggest?" I'm sure they would be more than happy to accomodate her.
