Adults ordering kids meals at Sci Fi?

Maybe this should be on the budget board...not sure? Anyway, I just visited the menu site for MGM's SciFi Dine-In restaurant. From the looks of it there is no way to do an inexpensive meal there, even lunch. I was considering 2 options just so we could get the kids in there for the whole "drive-in" experience.
1. The kids and I ordering kids meals (burger and fries). I'm not a big eater and I know it would be enough for me. My DH would get a regular entree. Do the servers balk at adults and teens (my oldest DS will be 14) ordering from the kid's menu?
OR
2. We could just go for sundaes after getting a counter service meal elsewhere. Are the sundaes here big enough to split?

Would your oldest be open to sharing something with you? I would guess they would be more open to splitting meals than to an adult ordering off the kids menu.

It's been a while - but in Dec 01 we ate lunch there - 2 adults 3 kids. I ordered a kids meal and so did the 3 kids. We only ordered 1 adult meal. The waiter didn't act like it bothered him a bit.

I've ordered a kid's meal at Sci-Fi in the past. I offered to pay for an adult meal, but the CM said not to worry about it. The portion was more than enough...

I am a very picky eater and I often choose off the kid's menu. I have never had any problems and never been charged full price.
