Let me start by saying this trip is a year in the making, pretty much since i got back from last year's trip to DisneyWorld.
The Basics:
Who: Me (25), My Cousin Maryann(34)
Where: Disneyworld
When: Leave August 28th, check in August 30, and check out Sept 13th
How long: 2 weeks
Where pt 2: Disney's Pop Century Resort
Tickets: 10 park hopper with water parks and more disney tickets, seaworld (2 days), Universal studios 2 parks 2 days tickets.
Side note: maryann has 3 kids, that my mom is taking care of while we are here. Two of them are too young(5 & 2) to do have the stuff or even enjoy it, and 2 are in school(5 & 12). So it is just me and here, thus the "Adults only" trip.. plus its her first time away from her kids in 12 years... its deserved.
I was typing stuff up as we drove, so i just have to paste it in here.. its only been for traveling, and we just have a few more hours of driving left to get there.. so entries might be delayed a little bit.

Saturday, August 28th:
We didn’t leave as early as I had originally thought. Maryann was running behind as usual… I was up and trying so hard to stay awake. I fell asleep while waiting for her to respond to the million messages I had sent her. She hadn’t packed, hadn’t done the shopping for her kids staying with my mom, hadn’t done anything… I had set my alarm for 10:30 just so I don’t sleep all day. I woke up, and she had texted me a 10.. Asking if I wanted to go running with her, she was at the salon to get her hair cut, then she had to do shopping, then we could go get our nails done, from there to krogers to go see her mom at work before we left, bread store then home to finish stuff and loading the van.
She came to get me before her salon appointment. So I had to wait for that. The guy that did her hair took so damn long, it was over an hour just for a simple trim!! He took longer than it takes mom to cut my long hair…
After that we did her shopping, took the stuff home since we had frozen stuff and couldn’t leave them in the van while we got our nails done, which was a good thing seeing as it took about 2 hours for our manicures and pedicures.. For my first experience it was great.. The pedicure was great.. We sat in massage chairs while the people worked on our feet, which in itself was like a massage too. It felt great… then got my manicure… the lady kinda hurt my pinkie on my right hand.. But it doesn’t hurt anymore.. So it cant be that bad of an injury.. I just got simple pink polish for my first time.. didn’t want to over do it my first time.. But its really something I would go and do again. Made me feel all high maintence afterwards.. But ohhhh it felt sooo damn good
While me and maryann were out and about.. My mom was washing her clothes she had dropped over earlier and the new ones she bought and packing them all. My stuff was already all packed and in the van ready to go. Well, most of it.. It was just my little things like my laptop, purse, gum.. Blanket and pillow that weren’t packed yet. But little did I know then I did forget one very important piece of health and beauty, that im gonna have to buy..
August 29th,
Last night we had stopped at a hotel to sleep, maryann’s’ choice. It was a nasty and disgusting hotel.. Dirty, falling apart and everything.. I couldn’t sleep there.. I was comfortable there, didn’t feel safe either.. So yeah no sleep for me.. I was up all night switching between channels every few mins seeing there were mostly infommercials on.. I don’t know how the hell maryann slept.. But evidently “I woke her up at the crack of dawn” which I did no such thing. I had gone walking at 6:30 am.. And noticed that the waffle house was open, so my tummy started grumbling. So I came back to the room to get my purse, and while I was there, she started moving, so I asked, not expecting an answer “are you hungry?” and she got up on her own. I did not wake her up nor make her get out of bed.. We got up and ate.. It was a great breakfast… I had eggs, toast, has browns, and a waffle.. Finished the eggs and hash browns, had one piece of toast left and half the waffle.. It was really good though…
Then we got back on the road.. But soon we started seeing signs for such things as “Ruby Falls” “Rock City” “The Incline” it struck our interset and its not like we are in a hurry, so we stopped there. Ruby Falls is a HUGE underground waterfall, the biggest available to the public.. And you have to go through this cave 260 ft undergound to get to it.. Its was soooo interesting and the waterfall was beautiful.. I got it all on video.. The incline is a train ride up the mountain, at a 72% degree of incline.. The steepest in the world.. Rock city is this beautiful garden, rock formations, trails.. Etc.. it was really neat. The sites looking down on the city below was beautiful and breathtaking, so much to see and look at, at one point of it.. You can litereally see 7 different states from that vantage point.. It was like wow…..
After that we got back on road, which is where we are now… we are about 40 miles outside of Valdosta, GA.. Which all together we are less than 300 miles away from our destinations.. But it being 6:30 im sure we will be stopping soon.. But I will insist on a decent hotel.. I will even pay for it… I don’t care.. I want to be able to sleep and feel comfortable there..and feel safe is probably another key thing. From the signs ive been seeing, Im leaning towards a Best Western. …
Since things are all caught up I will stop for now.. And catch up later on…
We are now stopped for the night at a Best Western. Its great. I feel so much more relaxed. Its much more comfy.. The rooms are great and big and clean, we just worked oout a bit in the fitness room downstairs, and I plan on using the Jacuzzi outside at some point. Check out isn’t till noon, so that works out great. Cuz we are only a few hours from Orlando.. And we don’t check in at the Pop till 3..
We have now stopped at a Best Western. Its much better than the sleazy hotel we stayed at yesterday.. im much more comfy... and before we went to bed last night we went down to the fitness center, and now im feeling it in my calves... which really is a good thing, cuz it means it did some good.. i called it "Disney Training"
