Hi!

Just wanted some advice from the experts on where I should stay for my birthday trip Sept 13-17.
I am going with my boyfriend whose never been before! We're in our early 30s. Plan to go to all the parks except AK... also planning on MNSSHP, Disney Springs and Food and Wine Festival.
I've stayed at Port Orleans (both FQ and RS), Contemporary and the Grand Floridian... enjoyed them all, not so much Contemporary. Want somewhere we could grab a drink in the lobby in the evenings perhaps.. Maybe a resort that's not too hectic..
I've been playing with the idea of Wilderness Lodge, I have always wanted to try there.. Or even the Boardwalk or GF... I do love the idea of being close to MK (Where I will no doubt spend my birthday!) Or even close to Epcot because Food and Wine... Still hoping for the Fall room discounts to be released soon!

Any advice for your picks for an adults only trip would be a great help!!

thanks so much!

BC or YC. You can't beat being able to walk to 2 parks, and it would be great to be close to Epcot for F&W. I haven't stayed on the YC side yet, but BC is super relaxing and there are great dining options.

Don't forget BWI has the Belle Vue Lounge, very relaxing & cozy. You can choose a room with garden or Boardwalk view, it's quiet and as PP pointed out has very convenient access to Epcot WS for F&W.

Agree with BC, YC or BWI - I stayed at BWI in December for my birthday. The quiet pool was heaven. Being that you are not going to AK you cannot beat walking to Epcot and/or boat to DHS. Only bus you would have to take would be to MK.
We had drinks at ESPN club before dinner at Trattoria al Forno; also did breakfast there - very good.
Enjoy and Happy Birthday! :tink:

Another vote for BC, YC or BWI - the location and amenities are great for an adults only trip!

Also, Wilderness Lodge is currently under major construction which is expected to last through the end of then year. While it is normally a beautiful and relaxing resort, I think you would be happier elsewhere this trip.

I agree with BC or BWI- the locations are great for walking to Epcot for Food & Wine. You can also walk to DHS or take the boat which is a nice little ride to let the feet rest.

I'd also throw the Poly out there since you said you like being close to MK and the Poly is my fav place to get a drink- Trader Sam's is awesome!

Yacht Club, it's close to Epcot, DHS & BW.
Not stayed at the Poly but it's on our list to try & people do tend to rate it very highly.

Another vote for the BWI! We've enjoyed many adults only visits there. It is so nice to be able to wander over to Epcot in the evening.

Thanks so much for all of your input! I think I'll decide between BWI, BC and YC. It looks like BC is sold out for my dates right now, but I will keep checking. I do also like the idea of the ESPN bar at BWI. I think the BF will particularly enjoy it there. Decisions, decisions! Can't wait for September :)

Epcot resorts are best for Food and Wine. It's our choice for adults only. Just curious though, why no AK. It's the second best park on property now without any of the night time stuff open. Not only that but the lodge has some of the best restaurants.

Yes, I've heard great things about AKL. We're only doing 4 nights for this trip and I don't want to plan to do too much and feel rushed. If we end up having time, I would like to go to AK. But for this trip I don't think it will be priority! BF is a big Star Wars fan and used to be a chef so both HS and Epcot for Food and Wine are a must!!

Are you guys park hopping? My wife and I did an adults only trip in Oct 14. We stayed at the boardwalk villas and would do either MK, HS, or AK most mornings, but would always end up at Epcot. It's very easy to do for 2 adults. I was never a big AK person til recently, but boy has it one me over. There is always the next trip right.

Yes, I did get the park hopper! Evenings in Epcot sound great. You guys are making me want to fit AK into the plans... We shall see. But you're right, any excuse to start planning the next trip :)

We leave next week for my birthday trip and we picked BWI. Close to EP and DHS, we thought maybe the kid ratio would be a little lower than BC since it has Storm Along Bay and Cape May, we liked being on the Boardwalk for nighttime stuff.

Yes, good point. I'm really leaning towards BWI. Happy Birthday, have a great time!!

I am planning on going to Food & Wine in 2017 for my birthday. I want to stay near Epcot, so that we can walk/boat over anytime to get food and drink from the booths. I am thinking about Yacht Club, so that I can get a balcony room. Beach Club and Boardwalk look nice too. I have never stayed at any of these though.

We have beach club booked for our September/October adult only food and wine trip. Picked it over yacht club because of more recently rehabbed rooms. Would love to try BWI sometime, but I can't get my mom to want to stay there for some reason!

Ended up booking BWV! It was cheaper than BWI, so I figured why not! Can't wait until September! Thanks for all your suggestions :)
