Adults going to MNSSHP; Are you going in costume? Share your pics here

Has any one brought 2 costumes to MNSSHP? I can not make up my mind between Ariel and a fairy. thought it may be fun to do both. First half do Ariel and go to her meet and greet and the second half go as a fairy and go to Tinker Bell meet and greet. Do they allow you to be in costume at 4:00pm when they allow you in the park and if so are a lot of people dressed up at that time or do most wait until the offical 7:00pm time?
I'm debating doing this on halloween since I can't decide between two costumes either. I'm wondering if they'd be lax enough on halloween to let you go in costume if its not a disney character during day. Though I'm worried my 2nd choice wont be possible in the heat there.

Wow, you're so energetic! :Pinkbounc One costume (especially getting a husband in one) is all I can manage, LOL! And yes, they'll let you in in costume @ 4p.

I've done two costumes in one trip (one the first night, one the second), and I've done a costume (large wings, full ball gown, jewelry, etc) with a change of clothes (shorts and a tshirt). For what you're planning I'd highly recommend getting a locker. Then, put on your complete second costume at the hotel - the whole thing. Once you've got everything on, take it off and put it in a super large Ziploc bag (the 3 by 2 ft kind). The process seems silly but it stops you from forgetting something.

Yes, you can enter with your costume at 4. That's when I got the best pictures. There aren't as many people dressed up at that point, so you'll get 'noticed' more.
That dressing up then undressing and packing thing - that's a great  idea!

I've been to MNSSHP at least 3 times, and you know I cannot for the life of me remember if I saw costumes during the day! If I were going to be there during the day, I would definitely be in my costume and I wouldn't have even thought to worry about it, so I'm thinking that it must not be a problem, but I'm really not sure. :confused3 We're not going 'till 4 to save using a park day.

While they normally don't allow anyone over the age of 9 to wear a costume outside of MNSSHP, I think they're more lax on party days, as last year I saw more than a few people in costume during regular operating hours. I don't know if it was just a fluke or if this is starting to become SOP on party days.

We go with another family every year and I haven't heard what everyone plans on wearing this year, but I know I will be Elsa for at least one party and my daughter wants to be Aurora in her gold dress and I think my son is planning on going as the 10th doctor.

Here are some of our costumes from a few of our parties.

Here we all are at last years party. I'm the Evil Queen.

Here is the year before. This was the first year me and the BBF went as the queen and Snow White.

Here is my husband and my best friends daughter as woody and Jessie.

And this was the same year. I was the fairy godmother.

My husband and my friends daughter as the Spartan cheerleaders from snl.

Me as the queen of hearts.

And finally my husband dressed as Prince Charming.

My sister and I will be going as Captain Hook and Mr. Smee! No photos yet as we are working on the costumes still. So excited for the end of September!

My friends and I are going as some of the Avengers! Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. But in tutus.

We haven't made the tutu's yet but we did just purchase some bow accessories!

Our date is 9/28 so we've got plenty of time to finish the costumes up.

I decided to go with two costumes for MNSSHP since I could not make up my mind. I am going to go as Ariel and attempt to go to her meet and greet and then go as a Fairy the rest of the evening and attempt to go to Tinks meet and greet. This is what I ordered.

For Ariel:

Just need to come up with a swim top to match the color of the shells.

And for my Fairy costume:

Still working on this year's costumes for DH (Thor) and myself (Black Widow), but the kids are done...

we are going for the first time Sept 1, (yay for early parties) It's me, my 2 DD and my future SIL, plus another family of 7. No pictures, but we will have my youngest DD and her BF as Anna and Elsa, my older DD has tinkerbelle, my SIL as a pirate, myself and the mother of the other crew will be wearing purple mickey shirts and rainbow tutu's, her husband will have the same shirt in black and be decked out as a pirate, her youngest 2 will be anna and else, her next will be Tinkerbelle, and the son hasn't quite decided yet, I think he should either be a pirate like the other 2 males or peterpan or Hans. so yes we will have 2 pirates, an older Anna and Elsa(16,17) a younger A&E( 5,7) an old tinkerbelle, (22) a young Tinkerbelle ( 9) 2 old maids in tutu's and whatever the 13 yr old male decides. We can't wait it will be our first time to MNSSHP

I will be going to 3 parties :cheer2: I'm from Germany and getting costumes during off season is kind of hard if not impossible. Also, Halloween is not all that big over here, we usually dress up for carnival in February.
Anyways...my usual Zombie-Halloween outfit I wear for a Halloweenevent is way to scary and not at all child-friendly (including white contact lenses, fake blood etc. etc.) so I decided to go with Disney themed costumes. I used regular shirts and pants and painted them (Tigger and Piglet), for Snow White I got apple shaped jewellery and made sleeves to match the blue shirt (I am totally NOT a dress/skirt girl so I had to go with shorts).
I have absolutely no skills as far as art and crafts go...so I'm pretty proud of myself that I managed to those shirts and matching headbands/ears :woohoo:

I can't wait to take a picture with the dwarves when I'm wearing the Snow White outfit, same goes foor Poo&Gang pics when I'm dressed up as Tigger and Piglet

I had seen a tutorial on Pinterest for making the Snow White top - it is really cute!

I'm going as Indiana Jones. Still collecting items at the moment but just need to find a cross shoulder bag that's big enough to fit my DSLR in.

Also does anyone know the policy on fake guns. I assume the whip will be ok but not sure about the gun. Happy to leave it at home but thought I'd ask just in case

Not sure about the fake gun, but the whip is fine! My dad brought a real whip when he dressed as Zorro.

The weapons policy is that it cannot be so realistic that it is mistaken for a real weapon. They sell all kinds of toy guns in the parks, so you should be fine as long as it is along those lines. I am going as Black Widow this year, so I am working on figuring out my weapons, too.

Yeh I'm thinking of waiting till I get there and getting the hat and whip from the Indiana Jones store at HS. I'll see if they have a matching gun and if so I'll get it and if not then not a big deal

Does anyone know what the weather will be like around October 9th? Son and soon to be daughter-in-law are going as Merida and her father Fergus - so he can wear his Kilt! Never been to Florida in October so not sure of the weather. Thanks for your input!! :)
