My sister and I are going for a quick four day trip in october and two of the nights have the halloween party. Is it an event worth adults only going? I don't think it interests me that much - I just want more park time.
Also, if you don't recommend going to it, should I avoid those days or go on those days?
Thanks.

If it doesn't intrest you then I wouldn't spend the extra $s just to stay extra hours.it's worth bearing in mind that even if the park was queit during the day it will be busy on the MNSSHP nights!! We think that it's great & try to fit our vacations around MNSSHP & the Horror nights at US,in fact we have even done the one at BG! This maybe because Halloween isn't such a big deal over here.

Thanks for the advise. The more I think about it, the more fun it seems. Would we be out of place without kids?

you wont be the only one there without kids ;)

I am 33 and my sister is 35 and we'll be there

Me and DW are going and we have no kids. Oh wait we will be the kids... :rotfl2:

My DH an I go w/o children and consider it a "must do" each year. :cool1:

Yup, I think we are gonna do it! Would it be reasonable not to arrive to it until 8 or 9? Or should we be there by 6 or 7?
thanks.

I (23) went last year with my mother (54) and sister (27) and we had a blast! I would reccomend getting there no later than 6pm or so. Most people do not realize you can get in earlier with just your MNSSHP ticket and it will be crowded starting a little before 7pm or so.

My hubby and i will be there 10/2- No kids :cheer2: :cheer2:

How early can you get in? My DH and I will be in costume and don't want to look completely out of place. I was thinking we would show up around 5pm. Is that too early? :goodvibes

We will be going on Tuesday, Oct 25th. I just won a costume on Disney Auction. I am going as Minnie

Last December we went to MVMCP for the same reason - we were there on a short trip, the park hours were short, and we wanted as much park time as possible. As it turned out, the party was a blast, and we were so glad we had decided to go. We're going to our first MNSSHP this year, and we're really looking forward to it!

DH and I loved it when we went. We took our two toddlers and we would definitely go back if we went without them (not that they would let us!)

We went on a Sunday night mid-month, and the party wasn't crowded at all. We rode tons of rides with no lines, and that is part of the reason DH wants to go back this October. The parade is cool and it's fun to see all the creative costumes. Lots of photo opportunities as well.

Go ahead and do it - you'll enjoy yourselves.

I know you've already decided to go (good choice), but me (then 24), DSis (then 31), DMom (then 54) and DAunt (53) all LOVED it. It was DMom's and DAunt's first trip to WDW, and they both listed this as one of their top 3 favorite events for the 5 days we were there. We did not feel out of place at all without having kids with us.

I think we arrived at the park at 5 or so. We were not in costume, but we didn't leave the park until 12 or 1 Am (can't remember), so it was worth it to get those extra couple of hours. I'd get there by 5 for sure. Have a GREAT time - the parade is really neat. You get to see characters that you rarely do otherwise (Cruella, Maleficent, the dogcatchers from 101 Dalmations, the ghosts from Haunted Mansion, Pooh and gang dressed in Halloween costumes), and there's TONS of trick-or-treating. We weren't interested in waiting in long lines, but there were so many lines spread throughout the park that we never waited more than 3-5 minutes. Other adults were getting candy too, so we didn't feel at all strange about it. Toward the end of the evening, CMs were calling out to us asking us to come over and get some candy. The longest we waited was 50 minutes for Space Mountain. HOWEVER --- it was posted as 10 minutes, but we headed there at the time the party ended, and apparently everyone else did also. Every other ride had a wait no longer than 10-15 minutes. The decorations were neat - cool lighting, corn husks around the poles, bales of hay, spooky but not scary music overhead, ghostly Mickey head silhouettes rotating on the pavement outside the entrance, lots of character interaction, the castle lit up in colors not normally shown on other Wishes nights, and the special MNSSHP fireworks that were just great!

We got to ride Splash Mtn and Pirates in our own log/boat. It was wonderful. Reminiscent of the old e-Ride nights (may they rest in peace), and very fun to have that Halloween feel. I really think you'll enjoy it immensely.

The past few years (since 9/11) they started admitting people who have the MNSSHP tickets at 4:00pm. I think 5:00pm is a great time to get there and you won't look out of place. From 6-7pm they will move you over to Tomorrowland wilst they transform the park. It is great to get there early and you will be miles ahead of other folks who will just be coming around 7pm.
