My DH and I will be in the World for our 10 year anniversary. We have never attended MNSSHP, and the only day it is taking place during our trip is on our anniversary! I would love to do this, but I'm wondering if it would be odd to go without the kids. Do adults go by themselves and do they dress in costume? Would love to know your thoughts. Thanks!

Yes we go every year. We do not have kids.

We have seen many adults in costume.

Have fun!

It's a great time...especially if your a Halloween "fan." You'll see the park decorated for Halloween like no other time (then the MNSSHP). What a fun and different way to spend your anniversary....we were there for our 7th anniv. (5 yrs ago) and did the MNSSHP .....had dinner in the park right before the party - so when we got out of our dinner - the park has transformed - it was fantastic- - and the kids trick or treating are great!:maleficen

We went couple of years ago, no kids. We didn't dress up but did get a bag for treats.

Me too - do most people wear costumes (adults and kids) or do most not?

I attended last year with 2 girlfriends...all of us in our mid-20's. We dressed up, trick-or-treated, the whole shebang. Halloween's all about tapping into your inner child anyways, being what you're not, so why not go all out and enjoy? Everyone's a kid at Disney anyways! :)

I'm a huge Halloween fan. I dress up every year :rotfl2: I'm not sure I can get DH to dress up, but I seeing as how it is our anniversary, I thought maybe we would just wear the bride and groom ears. He might be up for that.

Last year DH (63), DD (34), her DH (41) and I (53) went to MNSSHP and all dressed in costume. We also went Trick-or-Treating. We had a ball. This year we hope to go again with DS who is 21. We are planning to dress-up, too. We are just hoping it will work out since the only night that is available while we are there is October 23, the night of the day we get in from our DCL 4 night cruise. I am thinking about taking the chance of getting tickets that day rather than ahead of time in case we don't feel up to it after the cruise, so there is a possibility we won't be able to get them.

We go with no kids (they're grown), we dress up sorta with Halloween ears or something...we don't bother trick or treating but we see lots of adults who do. Love the parade!

I'm going this year with my mom and I'm 25... and we will be dressed up as well...
I know a lot of adults doeesn't dress up, but hey it's Disney, a place where you don't have to think about what others do and don't, just have a great time :)
