My husband and I are going back to Disney for 3 nights in May for my 30th bday and we are leaving the kids at home! I am super excited but having trouble deciding on our meals for such a short trip. We want to try some of the places we weren't able to on our previous trip like O'hana and Boma but we also want to eat at California Grill and maybe another signature since its our only chance without the kids. Flower and Garden will also be going on and we want to spend lots of time in World Showcase... Also planning on going to Disney Springs on our arrival night. So if you could only eat at one place in Disney Springs which would it be? Should I save O'hana for our next trip with the kids? If I do add another signature besides Cali Grill what would you pick? Thanks in advance!

*Also wanted to add.. We are staying at French Quarter and will not have a rental car

1) One place to eat at DS......RAGLAN ROADS HANDS DOWN

2) My wife and I ate at 'Ohana for my birthday and we don't have kids so if you want to eat there, then do so.

3) Another Signature restaurant....I personally would drop CG and pick two. Monsieur Paul and Artist Point.

I’m having the same predicament! DH and I are going for the long weekend in October. Our plan is to head to Disney Springs on our arrival day for lunch at Wine Bar George. Our three dinners are all Signatures- Jiko, Flying Fish and Artist Point. I would highly recommend Jiko or FF- this will be our first time at AP. With Food and Wine going on we are not planning on any sit down lunches other than our arrival day. I really wish we could fit in so many other places. I’d actually like to do a monorail lounge crawl too but not sure how to fit it in. Good luck and have a blast!!

One more thing- we don’t have a car either. But we take Uber’s and Lyfts all the time at Disney. Minnie vans when we want to splurge. With it being just you and your DH I wouldn’t rely just on Disney transportation.

Ya we will probably end up using Lyft quite a bit. We are also going bag free in the parks and I'm soo excited to see how quickly we can get around and get things done!

We don't have kids but we enjoy Ohana. However, you may want to save that for the next trip with the kids! As far as another signature, I would highly recommend Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, or Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Narcoosee at the Grand Floridian. In Disney Springs, we have been loving Homecoming. Boathouse is nice too.

I have been going bag free for a long time and it’s the best! I purchased a wallet style iPhone case (old paper fast pass themed from redbubble) and it works perfect! It has two card slots and a slot that could fit a small amount of cash. I carry my license and credit card in case of problems with my magic band.

If you like "sing alongs" at a piano bar, you might want to check out Jelly Rolls at the Boardwalk, maybe if you decide to eat at Flying Fish, Yachtsman, or one of the nicer Swan/Dolphin restaurants?
JellyRolls is 21+ only, so definitely something you wouldn't be able to do if you had your kids along.
There is a cover charge (last time I was there it was $12/person) and they only serve drinks, no food.

Chefs de France is good... and when we walked past it last night, the smells wafting out of there were so good I wished we had a ressie.

That would be easy for us: Boathouse or Morimoto Asia. We eat there with and w/o older children (8-12.5 y/o) but either would make a nice date night type restaurant. Still haven't eaten at Raglan Road but it always sounds like people are having a good time when we pass by. As well Boathouse and RR offer live music in the evening.

I'd save 'Ohana for dinner with the children. They'll be dragging you there in future years to come, LOL.

If I were doing a couples trip i would probably stick to booths for early lunches and signature dinners. CG during fireworks is lovely. I wouldn’t bother with Ohana until you take the kids.

1. Morimoto at DS
2. California Grill brunch if there on Sunday
3. Splurge - Victoria and Albert’s
4. Tiffins - @ AK Fab environment and food
5. Wine Bar George - limited menu but quality offerings
6. The Yachtsman for a quality steakhouse

You got some great suggestions, so none here as I agree with most.
Wishing you a wonderful Yummy visit!

Cali Grill is a good one. Boathouse at DS would be a good one. Maybe even sit outside on the patio. We like all 3 at AKL/V...Jiko, Boma and Sanaa. And Tiffins is good at AK. We also like Ohana but our kids love it so we always do it when they are with us. I agree with above about doing booths for lunches and signatures for dinners. If you were to get deluxe DP, you could use the snack credits at the booths and could also trade in one meal credit for more snack credits to use at the booths. Then use the other 2 meal credits for signature dinners and you'd get app/entree/dessert.

What about a Restaurant/Pub Crawl? I've done 3 with my wife on trips without our daughter or when we've sent her to one of the Kid's Clubs.

Monorail Crawl. Hit CG at opening for drinks and an app, hop on over to Poly to Trader Sam's, then to Narcoossee's Bar for a bite and beverage and if time take the boat from CR to WL and check out Territory Lounge or Geyser Point.

At the Epcot Resorts we did Kimonos, Il Mulino, bluezoo, Abracadabar and the Crew's Cup Lounge.

At Disney Springs your choices are too many to list.We did love the outside bar at Boathouse and wanted to check out the upper deck bar at Paddlefish but it was closed while we were there.

Have a fun trip!

Are you using the dining plan? If not, I'd check the menus at the Swan/Dolphin resorts. In our opinion, their fine dining restaurants are the best on property, excluding V&A.

Do you have any good, Irish pubs near you? If you do, I don't think you'd be impressed with RR. It's the only Disney restaurant my DH has asked me to not book again. Recommendations here had me convinced that we were just ordering the wrong things. After three tries, I finally accepted the fact that it simply isn't as good as the Irish pubs here. That said, I can see why people who don't have Irish restaurants near them would enjoy it.

Sorry but there's no way i'd waste my time at Ohana with an adults only trip. The food there is so disappointing in quality. I'd save it for when you're with the kids if you want to go that bad. Just my opinion.

I think Artist Point would be an awesome choice. Food quality is incredible. Its my fave restaurant. FYI at this point a lot of folks cannot get an ADR after Oct.28th. Leads us to believe they'll be closed for refurb (but nothing has been confirmed).

Im in the same boat as you...i have a solo trip planned, only 3-4 nights, and I have too many ADRs on my list. :teeth: I have to make room for the food booths at F&W (which is the purpose of my trip!).
