Adult Trip - Must sees and dos

I have been thinking about a solo trip for a long time now (I have two young children who always go with me), and I just booked a ressie for one at Dining With an Imagineer. This is something I could not do with my kids, given the age restrictions.

It was my top choice for a must-do on my first solo trip.

Here's a few of my favorites:
- Parking at Boardwalk and walking through the resort to get to Epcot. ::yes::
- Taking an evening stroll through Downtown Disney/Disney Springs. :cloud9:
- Hanging out at Ragland Road in the evening with the live music and performances, having a pint. :shamrock:
- Epcot Food & Wine Festival - the whole thing :thumbsup2
- Having a coffee and pastry at Starring Rolls Café in Hollywood Studios :goodvibes

For our adult only trip this October, we are also going to the late Cirque show.

They are all sorts of tours and great places to enjoy a nice sit down meal that previous people have mentioned. I personally enjoy checking out the various resorts and touring the properties especially when holiday decorations are displayed.

I would definitely suggest hitting some of Epcot drinking spots.

In the food section of Mitsukoshi is a small Sake tasting spot. The CM there are always super sweet and I have never had a line.

The Tequila bar in Mexico is fantastic and even my husband who -hates- tequila has found a few margaritas that he likes.

While I don't necessarily think the Sangria at Spice Road Table is fantastic, it is good. If the weather is not to hot it is a great place to rest your feet and their hummus plate is a good way to refuel without needing a giant food stop.

First I'm hearing of this Ice Cream Martini ... will definitely be having one this upcoming tip, sounds delicious. Also on the list to try is the much talked about Avocado Martini. Can't wait to get there ....

DH and I will be in a group of 7 adults this time around. We just plan on moving at full turtle pace, relaxing and going with the flow. Now we do have ADR and a few FP (just to appease my cousin..) but I don't plan on rushing anywhere! We really love DTD and EPCOT. We also buy a bottle of our fave mixer to have on hand in the room and fill our mug and find a nice quiet spot to sit and enjoy (sipping from our resort mug!)

Turtle pace is awesome! I have done it both by choice and necessity (injury or illness), and it actually feels like a vacation!

Imagine it, our first trip without kids or grandkids, we are relaxing poolside after a busy morning in the park. It is the fourth of seven days and my wife turns to me and says what I had been thinking, "Best vacation ever". You will see more because you have no kids, you will experience more, because you have no kids, you will enjoy more, sounds like a broken record-right? Start as if you have never been before and re-experience Walt Disney World like you have never done. Go on every ride, enjoy character meals if that is your thing. Do it all. You will be amazed how much more fun this trip will be. My wife will be there in 156 days for trip without kids #6.

It is always my wife and I when we go to WDW as we have no kids (by choice). We tend to spend most of our time at EPCOT. For example, we are going this December and we have planned two full days and possibly two evenings at EPCOT. We enjoy the signature dining there, adult drinks, and strolling through the countries at a slow pace and holding hands. In the past we have done several tours, stayed at different resorts and done non-park activities (horseback riding, walking along the water around Boardwalk, go to Raglan Road). I love Guinness and my wife loves cider so we ALWAYS spend at least one night at Raglan Road having dinner and then hanging out at the bar listening to the music and drinking / chatting with the staff. One trip, we bought a bottle of wine and went back to our resort and sat on the balcony having wine and cheese as we watched the water parade and fireworks over the castle.

We always try something new. The last trip was eating at CG and R&C. For this trip, we are planning Holiday D-Light tour and V&A.

Maybe take advantage of the single rider rides.. I enjoyed the hit air balloon at DTD. Sis found out she's afraid of heights the hard way. Oops! Have fun!

I am very afraid of heights and I did this. I suppose I'm still glad I did it, but I can thisclose to crawling on the floor until it was over. lol
