Adult Trip FP Selection Questions

We make our FPs this Monday, the 26th for our end of April trip. Unfortunately we will both not be available right at 7 am, so my friend is going to book everything for us. I want to be as clear as possible.

Only 1 park day (60+1)- will be starting off at Animal Kingdom and ending at Epcot.

First choice: FoP, but no later than ending around 11/11:30. Goal is to head to AK, explore, enjoy the scenery animals and performers, ride FoP and eat at Satuli. Then hop over to Epcot for the rest of the day.

Second choice: If no FoP, book Test Track later in the day Epcot. Not sure what time to set it for. Our goal for Epcot is to ride TT, explore FW, but spend late afternoon/evening in WS. Not really sure how to time it an what other FPs to book - I'm leaning towards Spaceship Earth (def no Mission Spaces). Epcot closes at 9.

Third choice: no idea really....

Any words of wisdom will be great! I really don't know how to plan this out!

Your chances of getting that FoP are pretty slim, but still try. If you don't get that FP, will you arrive at AK at least an hour before opening to be towards the front of the line to ride it, will you just get there at rope drop and wait it out, or will you not ride it at all? The answer to that question will plan out the rest of your day.

No, we will not be getting to AK early, not even RDing (I don't think we will at least - it's an EMH 8 am day). DH has ridden FoP twice with our kids and I get motion sick, but I have agreed to go through the line and experience the ride, but keep my eyes closed. So it's not such a huge deal if we do not get a FP for it.

But you do realize that "going through the line" is going to take up at least an hour and a half and probably more. So is the goal still to ride and get lunch at Satu'li? Will you do anything other than Pandora? What animals and performers are you hoping to catch? What time do you expect to get there?

Let's say you get there around 8:30 and get in line around 8:45. At least there are no FP going through, so the line will move from then until 9:00 when the FP line opens. My guess is you won't be off until about 10:30 or so. That puts you in place for an early lunch. What else will you want to do before hopping to EP?

Since you want to ride Spaceship Earth, I'd actually make that the first FP+ I intend to use, and probably make it around 1:00. That should give you plenty of time at AK, but if that seems too late, make it a little earlier. The plus with making SE your first, is if you do miss it, it's not that big of a deal. You can probably ride it later in the evening without a FP. Make TT an hour after your SE. As for the third FP, I'd probably make it for an hour BEFORE Spaceship and just let it expire. That way, once you tap into TT, you might be able to get one for Soarin'.

Thanks again! Great advice about Epcot - I don't know all these tricks. As for FoP - if we do not get the FP, we are not riding it at all. We will not "waste" the time standing in line. No FP, no ride. Especially since hubby has ridden it already.

Oh..gotcha. That makes so much more sense to me! Then maybe move everything at EP up a bit, and eat at Satu'li when they first open. Make that throwaway FP for 10:00 or so, SE 11:30, and TT 12:30.
