1:46 a.m. Wake up from very deep sleep in intense confusion. Is there some kind of Disney uprising going on? An animal revolt? There is screeching, screaming, shouting....
Oh joy, it is our next door neighbors back from the bars... Whoo Hoo! I hear people from other balconies telling them to shut up in many colorful ways. Shouting matches with ear bleeding language ensues. I decide to ignore the fact that I will be filmed and go out in my rather unattractive jammies, peak my head around the corner of the balcony and nicely ask them to quiet down. This does not work, either. I call the front desk and they send a manager up to speak with them. Not another peep, good work! I would love to know what was said...
As you have noticed, we are early risers at Disney. I was so sorely tempted to call the partiers from every house phone (and there are many on our long walk) as we left for another early day at the parks. But I chose not to, Karma and all. I did leave them a note telling them what I wanted to do, but did not do out of consideration. I hoped they would then show that consideration to their new neighbors tonight.
Store luggage and then off to MK for farewell tour. Did all our favorites, then new favorite, lunch at uncrowded Columbia Harbour House.
Back to AKL, farewell shower in locker room, farewell drink, then home.
Random thoughts:
AKL is huge, especially if you have a room at the end of the hall.
They should break down Savannah view rooms into two groups, Arusha and other, with separate pricing. Then no one would be disappointed with view.
Fifth floor rooms prove scientific theory warm air rises. Our room was always stuffy, hot, with thermo turned way down.
I don't think we will come back again " in season" . It was fun, but whew, the heat and crowds.
Adult Disney is great, first you get to have couple time and relax, second you get to see all the parenting techniques you don't want to ever use yourself.
