The cast: over 40ish mom and dad who do the cruelly unusual and go to Disney without the ds's to renew and de-stress.
Monday, June 23
Arrive at AKL with no problems via Tiffany Towncar. Short wait at 5 p.m. to check in. Unfortunately cm is from Coronado, does not know the resort. Had requested through CRO Arusha Savannah view, prefer zebra trail. At the desk we told her we did not want to be over a people pen. Received the exact oppposite in room 5374, overlooking the Sunset Savannah, aptly named because after sunset they move all the animals to Arusha and there is nothing to see. As an added bonus, we are over a people pen, again! I think there are only three, so I don't think we will stay a third time at AKL, as I am sure we will be overlooking that one. We were, however, upgraded to a "deluxe" room, which seems marginally larger than a standard with a slightly larger balcony. We thought about making a stink and moving the next day, but nah, we are on vacation. I just kinda wonder what a girl has to do to get a good view!
Off to the pool, wall to wall little darlings, but still not many seem to have discovered the "hidden hot tub". I would tell you where it is, but then I would have to kill you.
We have a wonderful dinner at Jikos. We split the cinnamon roll up, then I have monkfish (great!) and DH has the yellowtail snapper. This is usually his favorite fish, but it was just okay, kind of bland. We split the excellent apple pie thingy.
Then off to early bed so we are rested for our "Keys to the Kingdom" tour tomorrow.
