"Adult" beverage recipes wanted

This is always a crowd pleaser:
Bourbon Slush
2 tea bags
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup bourbon
1 6oz frozen OJ concentrate
1/2 6 oz frozen lemonade concentrate

Steep the tea bags in the boiling water for 3-5 minutes; discard tea bags.
Add the sugar, and stir till dissolved. Combine the tea mixture, water, bourbon, OJ and lemonade in a freezer container and mix well.

Freeze for AT LEAST 48 hours before serving, stirring 2-3 times during the first 24 hours - be sure to "drag" the bottom to distribute the alcohol.

Remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before serving.

Any of y'all other cajuns had this before?:cool1:

We always make Long Island Iced tea by the pitcher - esp. in the summer.

Olive Garden Sangria

The big bottle of Soleo Red Table Wine
Bottle of Sweet Vermouth
Cranberry juice cocktail (if you use straight up Cranberry JUICE - its gross...cocktail only)
Small sized bottle of Grenadine - I think it's like 8oz
3/4 cup of sugar diluted in 1 1/2 cup hot water (1 1/2 cup simple syrup)
Limes
oranges
Cherries
crushed ice[/B]

This makes a lot - about a gallon. :thumbsup2

Have fun!!!! :drinking1

Thank You! My DS loves the their Sangria. This is on the menu for this weekend.

Hey! AtlantaSue's Bourbon Slush sounds a LOT like my amaretto-based "The Recipe" in post number 12. I might have to try that next time.

My 2 are really easy.

Blue Whale:

Vodka
Lemonade
Blue Curacao

Just make it like you'd make vodka and lemonade; then add the blue curacao till it's nice and blue. They go down real easy!! ;)

The next one doesn't have a name that I know of:

Just mix raspberry vodka with pink lemonade to taste. Then float raspberries in it. It's pretty, easy, and it tastes yummy! :cutie:

I would throw Malibu Run, Cranberry Juice, Pineapple Juice and a little but of 7up into a pitcher and stir!!!

Heidi, I think you started drinking early today. Malibu Run and a little but of 7up. ;)

Sounds good to me.
I make a drink that has Dole's strawberry, orange, banana juice, mango rum, light rum and a little sprite zero in it. Very yummy and good for you too.... juice has lots of vitamins. :goodvibes

CathrynRose-sweetie you left out the thing that makes a mojito a mojito-lime juice!!!!!!!

Try this mojito
in a large (i use 16 oz) glass
strip the leaves from two stalks of mint
add 3tbsps simple syrup
muddle(squish to release mint oils)
add the juice of half a lime
1 1/2 oz of citrus (limon) rum
fill the glass with ice and add club soda
stir and garnish with mint and lime
and a sugar can swizzle if ya have one.

or if ya wanna make them by the pitcher-Bacardi makes a great frozen mixer-just follow the directions on the can-they are really good

How many people are you talking here for a buzz? Two, three, 10? Any more than two or three and a pitcher (unless your pitcher is gallons size) will have you mixing all day. Get a punch bowl and double or triple the recipe.

Or try one of these below the punch bowl:

sounds gross - tastes great

1/4 gin
1/4 beer
1/2 pink lemonade

Pour over ice:
One cup whiskey
Toothpaste cap full of Lemix

Stir.

Enjoy.

This drink is called The Rottweiler. It was made up one spirit-filled night while bartending for a chain restaurant after the customers had gone home. At the time, I was the owner of Marley, the best rottie. If you didn't give her the attention she required, she would goose you! One of my friends named this drink because "this drink bites you one the b*tt if you aren't paying attention". This was after one of the waiters had one to many & was passed out at the bar.

Equal parts-
Light Rum
Dark Rum
Spiced Rum
Coconut Rum
Amaretto
151 Rum(optional)

enough grenadine to turn it dark pink
pineapple and orange juice to taste

If you are making this by the pitcher full, fill the pitcher with ingredients & mix by pouring from one pitcher into another until frothy. If I was making this for myself, I would make the pitcher 1/3 liquor, 2/3 juice.

This can also be made into shooters, just use less juice, mix & strain.

The 151 Rum makes this a POTENT drink. I leave it for you to decide if you want to add it.

Roy's Hawaiian Martini from his national chain of Hawaiian fusion restaurants.

This was a big hit at a party this summer.

Ingredients :

2 bot Skyy Vodka - (750 ml ea)
1 bot Stoli Vanil Vodka - (750 ml)
1 bot Malibu Rum - (750 ml)
1 can pineapple juice - (6 oz)
1 cup sugar
1 fresh pineapple sliced

Combine vodkas, Malibu rum, and pineapple juice in a large nozzled decanter or 5-quart jug. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
Slice the top and bottom off of a fresh pineapple. Slice the pineapple in half then slice the halves in half to make quarters. Cut the rind from each of the quarters, then slice the quarters into 1/2-inch thick slices. This will make several bite-size wedges. Add pineapple slices to decanter, and let mixture sit for 3 days.
To make the drink, shake 3 ounces of the martini blend with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with one piece of pineapple from the decanter, speared on a toothpick.
This recipe yields about 36 servings.

After three days, when all the hunks of pineapple are floating, the cocktail's ready to be served - shaken, not stirred - in a chilled martini glass. Makes around 36 drinks.
