adult activities - $$$

I'm trying to figure out how much money we'll need on board. Can anyone tell me whether the adult activies charge a fee?

Specifically, from the January navigator, I see there is a "Sparkling Moments" that features Champagn & Strawberries which sounds wonderful. I also see "Wines of the World" which could be fun. However, I am not a big drinker so I don't want to pay a lot of money to attend.

We did the wine tasting class "From Stem to Stern" It was wonderful!! The cost was $12/person and well worth it IMO!

Can you tell me if with the wine tasting class you all it together or is it more a"couples" thing. I know my mom would like that but she will be alone and is hesitant to do it because she thinks it will be all couples and she will have no one to talk to

I know that I plan to do it, and I'm pretty sure hubby won't. He's not a real big wine drinker, so I'd imagine there are other people who will be in that boat.

Tell her to come on and have fun!

We did the wine tasting a while back, and you could come alone, as a couple, or in a group. You reserve it in advance, and everyone just sits around at the tables. We are total wine novices, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Hubby and I are normally almost teetotalers, but we have come it really enjoy wine with our meals on the ship.

I went alone to the wine tasting and felt somewhat out of place until I spotted a DIS couple who invited me to join them! We had a BLAST!
