couple questions for the board:

we are booked for trip in Oct, half myself/wife and kids, half with extended family. Our 180d ADR will arrive a few days prior to our extended families ADR booking date.
1. Can I reserve a table for the total number in our party (10), or am i limited to booking a reservation that equals the number of people in under my disney/resort reservation (4)?
2. Are you able to combine spilt party reservations into one larger booking?

3. Some reservations require payment in full....if we having a dining plan, does that still apply?

thanks in advance

1: You can make a reservation for the total amount that will be dining with you, not just the amount of people under your reservation.

2: No. There is a small possibility of this happening depending on restaurant availability but for a larger group this is unlikely and you will probably be seated separately, per the reservation you made.

3: I personally do not use the dining plan, so unfortunately this isn't a question I'm knowledgeable about.

You can definitely book a table for more people than what is on your room reservation. I just did this yesterday and made reservations for 6 even though my room reservation is only 4. 2 other family members are travelling with us but have their own room reservation but will be dining with us, making us a party of 6. I made all of my reservations online and had no issues doing this.

Concerning the prepay, if you have the DDP, you will not have to prepay as long as the dining plan is listed on your resort reservation. When you book your ADR you will select the restaurant and time and number of people, then it will pop up with a list of everyone who is listed on your friends and family list, not just those in your room and you select which people will be dining with you. Therefore, I recommend having those people already listed as friends and family so you don't have to input it while making the ADRs. After that, if it is an ADR that requires prepayment, it will ask you if you would like to make the reservation using dining credits or prepay using another method. You select which option you want. At the end, it will confirm that (if you select to use the dining plan) no payment has been charged and your dining credits will not be subtracted until you dine or if you miss your reservation.

When you actually dine, let the server know how many credits you want taken from each room and they can split the bill however you want it to be split.

3. Generally, you can hold the prepayment with Dining Plan, but it doesn't always work.

i have the plan on my account and booked CRT. My researvation states that the reservation is not held with a credit card. Could that be a problem?

I always booked CRT online and never had to prepay, I think there's some way the system 'sees' you have a dining plan. I wouldn't worry and if worried, you can always give them a call. :)

My reservation for both CRT and HDD show the same thing. I think it just means that you are not using a credit card to hold the reservation, you are using your dining credits. This just means they have not and should not charge your credit card.
