ADRs yes, no, maybe so?

we're leaving in about 2 weeks and just wanted to get some opions on how my ADRs are looking.We were on the regular DDP for our honeymoon and that was enough food. we even had a couple snack credits leftover. I hope the DxDDp is worth it, the hubby didn't really like any of the CS places we ate at. And he says i spend to much money on disney

sept 25 - Crystal Palace 8:05am(ate here last year on our honeymoon for lunch)
sept 25 - CRT 4:20pm(not sure about this one, food doesn't sound great, we have no little kids with us)
sept26 - Sci-Fi 1:30pm(ate here for dinner on our honeymoon, i know the family will love this place, but can i get a steak for lunch?)
sept 26 - hoop-de-doo 9:30pm (hubby demanded this one when he heard unlimited beer!)
sept 27 - chef mickey 8:15am(i think i'm only doin this one for the chacters)
sept 27- boma 8:00pm (can't wait to try this one)
sept 28 - Via napoli - 12:45pm( looks yummy)
sept 28 - biergarten- 7:30pm(look fun but doesn't look like a lot of variety)
sept 29 - Grand floridian cafe 7:00am (OOP)
sept 29- Brown Derby Fantasmic! package 3:55pm(might be a little to fancy pancy for our pallet)

Looks like you'll be eating lots of yummy food Okay, so I know there are die-hard Chef Mickey fans, and our little kids LOVED it, but it just seemed like Old Country Buffet to us, with some characters thrown in. The Contempory is cool to visit, especially with the monorail, but I'd much rather eat at Tusker House for an early ADR than Chef Mickey's. From your ticker, I'm assuming your staying at AKL, and your evening ADR is at Boma so maybe think about Tusker for your morning with the day at AK. It was our favorite character meal and has some good variety and very tasty food. Plus you're first on rides if you get in early enough. Just my opinion Also, I always think of CRT as an ambiance type meal...not really there for the food. Personally, I'd pick Liberty Tree Tavern over CRT any day, and then you'd have an extra credit so Grand Floridian wouldn't be OOP. Have tons of fun with the family!!!

You are on the deluxe dining plan?--5 nights at 3 meals a day why would you pay oop for Grand Floridian Cafe---I counted and you only have 13 meals booked...you get 15. Other than that I think it looks great. We are going to be there the same week. Can't wait....

we're only stayin at AKV w/ DxDDp for 4 nights. on 9/24 were staying at all star music, and on 9/30 we are staying at all star sports, room only. i wish i could be there for 5 nights instead if 4.

IMO, the most entertaining character meal for adults with no children is 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for the happily ever after dinner. Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters are hilarious, especially if you play along with them. This will also give you a chance to see Cinderella and Prince Charming. Maybe you could do this instead of CRT and save yourself a TS credit so GFC is not OOP. CRT is all about the ambiance of eating in the castle, the food is not horrible, but, it's not the main attraction. We've eaten there for all three meals...without DD it would not be on our list.

I agree that Tusker House is a good character breakfast option, but it is hard to get an ADR there.

There are lots of great out of the ordinary ways to use your snack credits, especially in Epcot. You can find lots of ideas searching through the boards. We use extra snack credits to bring home things like Mickey chocolate bars or rice krispie treats to continue the magic for a little bit longer after we return home.
