ADRs with split-stay?

Is there an issue with making ADRs for the whole trip if you do a split stay? Do you need to wait for the check-in date of the different hotels or can you do the entire vacation?

I've never had a problem making ADRs for the entire vacation when I've done split stays. Once the computer wouldn't let me, but I called, explained to the CM that it was a split stay and she let me book for the full nine days. Since then though the computer has let me without a problem.

Because of the way the discounts fell for my recent Nov 26th-Dec 4th vacation, it was technically a split stay, even though I was at the same resort all week. I made all my ADRs online at 180 days out from the Nov 26th check in date.

We are staying 14 days, with our split coming at day 8. I was allowed to make ADRs for 10 days, but then had to call back on 180 days out from the second check in date to finish the week. That was nerve wracking because Chef Mickey's and Ohana are in the last three days, but I was able to book them without problems.

I tried to book online but it wouldn't let me, so I had to call both times. Actually felt like that was easier...

I called when my window opened and the CM would only let me book through the first half of our trip. I called back the next morning and different CM, same response.

I'm not too stressed - I got the CRT rezzie I needed - but is there something special I needed to say to book the whole week? I explained about the split but they said the system would only allow the first 4 days.
