ADR's- What's going on??

Just made ADR's for our upcoming trip-- June27-July6. I was able to get everything, including California Grill for our trip!!! Most had multiple times available!! We normally go in fall and plan 180 days out. Are restaurants not busy in the summer???

I attribute it to the credit card guarantee. When they added the cc guarantee to some of the more popular restaurants a couple years ago, it was suddenly easier to make ADRs after the 180 day mark. Now they've added the cc guarantee to all ADRs. We usually plan our trips way far in advance so I'm prepared and ready with a list of ADRs for 6:00am on our 180 day. This time we were past the 180 day mark by about a week when we settled on the timing of our next trip. I was shocked I was able to get every ADR I wanted within 20 minutes of when I wanted it. And even more amazing was that I actually snagged a BOG ADR for our first park day for 6:15pm. I still have no idea how I managed that at less than 180 days except that maybe they were late in releasing some of the tables.

We wondered the same things last year - planned a trip one week ahead of time for the end of July and had no problems getting ADR's at perfect times - including a pre-park opening ADR at Crystal Palace. We figured it was due to there not being free dining at the time. We were even able to change one of meals to a different place the day before.

I experienced the same thing! I made all our ADR's at the 180 day mark, but then decided to move our trip because of all the snow days the kids had. I had no trouble getting all the same ADR's, including BOG! I thought for sure that one would be gone.
